Who here enjoys the skill of a great bass player? I play mainly guitar but dabble on the old 4 string occasionally. Who are some great bass players in your opinion?
Victor Wooten- Amazing, Obviously a fashion icon also. First Video is the best.
(Around 3:30 Mark)
Cliff Burton- Imagine what Metallica Could have done if Cliff were still alive
Jaco Pastorious- Considered by Many to be best Bass player of all time
Couple other more well known guys I like, Flea, Geddy Lee, Les Claypool, Jeff Ament(Pearl Jam), and Justin Chancellor from Tool
Obviously bass is easier to be a beginner at but I would put these guys up against any Guitar Gods and say they are just as good if not better than most in their field of choice.
Couple favorite Riffs/Solos
Anesthesia(Pulling Teeth), NIB from Sabbath, John Entwhistle Solo on My generation

When I clicked on this, I seriously thought it was a joke thread about who your favorite bass fisherman was.
