haha the problem with that though is wont you be giving JJ's more views and inflating their membership numbers? dont want it to look like they are getting a lot of hits and new members now do we?

I looked in over there and it appears they are letting everyone on the football forums.

I looked at the Central forum and they still had post up from yesterday which leads me to believe not many took them up on their offer.

I also am guessing they now know just how badly they screwed up.

Lots of action on the Updates and Final Scores thread, as well as the North, Central, and South forums.

I adopted a starving child for $1/mo. Now I have to choose between that poor starving child, and JJ Huddle. Shame on you guys for making me possibly kill this child.

Seriously though, I'd rather burn $12 than pay it here. I come on here like 3 months a year during football season, but I can't even pay per month (despite the fact that the business Einsteins that run the site continue to say "only $1/month guys, lolz!") Nor can I even read the threads anymore, which is all I really did anyways. Quit hocking your poorly written articles and your high-school-newspaper-caliber magazine (seriously, Helen Keller would have less typos than that magazine). Trim the fat off the site. Get rid of the crap nobody cares about and focus on the forums. Your JJ Huddle power poll means nothing, who cares. You write articles about games that about 0.1% of the readers of the site care about. Why waste space on the servers for news on the North Central Po-dunk Girl's chess team. No one cares. If people wanna discuss it in the forums, thats their decision. Quit forcing content on us and bring back a forum site. That other site doesn't have all the fluff. Just forums. They don't whine about needing money because they haven't driven the site into the ground. I can buy a domain name for $10.69 a year and run my own site. Cheaper than to JUST READ this site. The only difference between me and the chimps that run this site is that I would know if I was in over my head. Read some of the articles you guys write, you may just realize how in over your heads you actually are.

Oh yeah and I paid $10 back in '02.

Every time I go to proxy.org and go to jjhuddle it still comes up that my IP is banned. What am I doing wrong?

Well it is official I am banned for spamming. Have been a member since 2002 and paid for my name plus paid for premium access, still no free year. Oh well it was fun there but I am having a blast on here. Thanks for freehuddle.com

just like they can block your IP then can block the proxy's IP. just pick a Proxy further down the list until you find one that is not blocked. All you are doing is using there IP address. If most of the proxys are blocked on the site, it is a good thing as that will get them less traffic.

We know JJ's server didn't suffer anything tonight due the lack of action there on a Friday night. (of all nights)

I wonder if they knew that charging was a bad idea and wasnt going to work, or they truly thought we would all pay. i just wish i could have been a fly on the wall when that conversation came up. oh well, i guess they got what they wished for, servers were definitely not bogged down tonight.

A funny topic over on paypay's bleachers called, "Action is heating up on the Huddle" posted from not just a Moderator, it was posted by a "Super Moderator".
The "Super Moderator" posted, "Lots of action on the Updates and Final Scores thread, as well as the North, Central, and South forums.

Good to see things picking back up tonight"

Some of the different responses so far have been-
"I guess people have different definitions of "Lot's of action"."

"Not really?? I looked in the Northern Ohio football forum and page 1 still has a thread that hasn't been posted on since 4:48 pm today. If the huddle was still free, that page would be filled with action like it used to be...not so much tonight.

The central forum, on page 1, it has threads that haven't been posted on since November 11!! And same with the South forum."

"There's not too much action.....where the heck is everybody???"

"Everyone is on other free sites."

"LOL OK buddy whatever you say, traffic meter info is free I can see the numbers myself. I'd post the link if I didn't think I'd get gonged for it. But I don't need to, anyone can see how quickly the herd cleared out, the internet is a big place."

Very stupid to ban quality, long time posters. Even if a poster made a decision not to pay, that does not mean that over time they might have changed their mind. For me, I was primarily a HS FB forum reader. I was not happy that I would not be able to see those forums again. But I was looking forward to getting what little information I could out of the Bleacher Seats. It might have been only a matter of time for me to cave in and pay to see the HS FB forums again. But out of nowhere, I got banned..... and as a result will never ever pay to enter their hallowed forums.


Besides, this is a much more fun board. I can see myself spending time here all year round. Love the General Topic forum.

Heck I love everything about the FREE Huddle.
