What was the Browns record against the division in that 2007 season? By saying the Bengals had an "easy" schedule you are saying the AFC North was pathetic, because against the AFC, outside the AFC north, the Bengals were 1-6. And that could well be true! You lost to the Raiders, had an overtime game against the Browns, got absolutely crushed by the Vikings, and got beat by the Jets twice.
Green Bay was the only win that really showed us anything and that was at the beginning of the season. They'd lose big time if they played GB now with their offensive line finally playing great.
Sure they beat the 9-7 Ravens and the 9-7 Steelers. What about the 9-7 Texans? What about the Chargers? What about the Vikings?
Just like in 2007 when the Browns beat most of the bad teams on the schedule and only had beat maybe 4 teams with a winning record out of their 10 wins.
We'll find out, and maybe I'm wrong, but sweeping a division that is clearly down, isn't that big of a feat.

But the Browns were 4-2 vs. the rest of the AFC. The Bengals won the big games early, going 6-0 in the division which they mostly played early in the season. The Bengals had those six important games, and then two other important ones late in the season when they were decimated by injuries, one the heartbreaking loss at SD when they were playing for the inside track on the first round bye in the playoffs, and then today.DaBrowns41 wrote:Er... Bengals need a WR and a QB in this draft. Those need to be the first two picks, because this team drastically needs someone to help Benson.

Give Palmer one more year he deserves that, their are 18 qb's who aren't as good as he is. Granted his yards per pass is horrid but he hasn't been putrid.

A rookie QB next year would mean 5-11. Gotta try to get Carson weapons and see if he still decent with good talent around him in the passing game.

This game proved Palmer doesn't have it. WR's would help, but when you overthrow every single one it doesn't matter who you have.

What big games early? The only big game you guys won was against the Packers, and that was in week 2. A mediocre Denver team doesn't count as a big game, neither do victories over Pittsburgh. Injuries are a part of the game. But Carson Palmer was a bigger issue than injuries.

I think they're better off with Palmer for at least another year.
Draft WR and TE in the first two rounds.
Then go QB in the mid rounds. Somebody that might be an option but isn't brought in to play next year.

I can agree with that. I think its a given Palmer will get at least another year. I just see no problem with drafting a really good QB to get him ready.
