If the Bengals' first two picks aren't a TE and a deep threat, we'll see the same thing next year.

Chad is past his prime anyway, I think
2003-2007 he was a top receiver and feared
he's like Marvin Harrison and they didn't get a Reggie Wayne to take his place

The Bengals didn't really rest anyone last week besides Benson. Once they were down by 4± tds they took out the starters. They were just dominated.

I don't think last week has anything to do with today's performance.mallymal614 wrote: I hope this shows team that it might be better to play a regular season through, instead of resting players. A team shouldn't risk losing chemistry and timing.

I don't see much from this Bengals team in the future.
Two best players Carson and Chad are aging.
Rest of the team is makeshift.

Bengal receivers, when the defender is ahead of them going toward where the ball is designed to be thrown, need to learn to look for the ball behind them, and reverse direction to get open for the catch.

I think what I like about high school football is that every Friday night, the teams play their best kids and play to win. It doesn't matter whether they have already clinched the League Title or haven't won a game all year.
Every year we keep hearing that early play-off losses have absolutely nothing to do with the fact that clinching teams sometimes coast the last couple of games "resting" their star players. I don't think it's a good idea to rest momentum. Sometimes you can't wake it back up. I think that when you get rolled 37-0 the week before you have to play that same team for the right to advance, you have relinquished all momentum to the other team. I think that Indianapolis will probably get through even though they did essentially roll over for their last two opponents, but I wouldn't necessarily bet the farm on it. Bottom line, play like a Champion all the time. I think your chances are better if you do.

have to hold to a FG
Bengals defense is done but they still have a shot if they score and get an onside

Now the passing game needs to wake up in a hurry. Can't rely on Benson from here out.
