I have no pain in my arm. I just cant feel it. Sounds likke a stinger. X-Rays were all negative. Correct me if I am wrong!! Dont the NFL players play with this all the time? Is what happens when you get a cortisone shot, you lose some fealing but the pain goes away. His NFL future just cost his Texas team a shot at a title.

I want to know who was calling the shots there...

Him?
Parents?
Coaches?
Doctors?

Seems like he perhaps could have played, but I don't want to put out blame until I know who was calling the shots here.

Colt McCoy = Class act.....great interview after the game, even when hit with the most disrespectful questions by the media. Not sure the extent of his injury, but would have been interesting to see him rub some dirt on it and try to give it a go.

Announcers claimed he wanted to play. His Dad, dr's and coaches all said not playing.

I have a feeling his parents saw his draft stock dropping quickly if anything else happened and held him out of that game.

If a QB can't feel his throwing arm, how in the hell would he throw the ball?

Also, he wanted to go back in and play despite the fact that he couldn't feel his arm. The team doctors, coaches, and his Dad said no. Nobody needs to be questioning his dedication or heart.

September.....Wrong....was his right shoulder, which is his throwing arm.

Definitely his throwing arm. Do you honestly think that if it were possible for him to come back into the game he would have said no? He came back for his senior season to play in this game. If it were his non throwing shoulder or any other body part, he would have been back in the game for sure.

Exactly.

He has risked his NFL draft status on every play of this season. His desire to win a national title outweighed leaving for the NFL after last season. Now, when he has the chance to reach his goal, he sits out on purpose? Not a chance.

Colt is probably one of my favorite non-Ohio State players. I thought he should have won the Heisman last year and thought Texas should have played for the NC over Oklahoma, but unfortunately for him when he got his chance he got sidelined. Hate to see that for a guy who has represented himself and his team with such class and worked so hard to be put in that position, only to have it taken away. Hope he gets a chance to play on Sundays.

Yea, yea. I was incorrect!! It was his right arm. This cost him a cpl million in draft value. Down into middle 1st round he goes!!

Welp he wasnt going to get drafted higher than middle first anyways so im sure he isnt to unhappy about that. Actually after looking at some mock drafts there is only one that has him as a first rounder. So it didnt cost him very much.

I also am a big fan of his. He is underrated and always says the rights things, and doesn't bring a camera with him everywhere he goes like Tebow.

Wish it would have ended different for him.

Not really sure why anyone would think this affects his draft stock though. His resume was built over 4 seasons, not in a National Championship game. He got a stinger and couldn't play.

I think this was a great post too. It was a shame he didn't get a chance to show what he could do in the championship game.

He is not a projected first rounder. Before the injury he was projected to go 2nd round best scenario and many had him going in the 3rd round.
