Although there hasn't been much pub about it because of the Tiger stuff, the PGA Tour actually started up today, with the SBS Championship kicking off at Kapalua. Lucas Glover leads with an opening round 66 (-7). He's someone to definitely watch this year, he could put himself in the upper echelon of players if he continues to remain hot like he did after his U.S. Open win. Anyone else taking notice of the Tour?

I checked out some highlights in the golf channel, Glover looked like he really got it going after that Double to start. The Western swing is fun to follow. can't wait till they're @ the FBR and the Stadium hole in Scottsdale

I will keep a subtle eye on it but it will take a backseat untill the Masters or when Tiger decides to play again. He is the reason 90% of people watch golf and without him, they will be hurting financially.

^^^^
you're right, Tiger won't miss the Masters.
Probably a return at Bay Hill to get a tourney under is belt, then the Masters, then go away again until the U.S. Open @ Pebble

Whatever you guys! haha yeah I understand that the Tour isn't going to be nearly as popular without Tiger but the fact is, the Tour survived before Tiger, it will survive after Tiger. I'm actually someone that wants Tiger to come back guns blazing (no Gilbert Arenas pun intended) and am really looking forward to his comeback.
As for the rest of the SBS Championship, it appears you can expect low scores as are usually the case at Kapalua, as near the start of the second round there are only 2 players over par.

It will go on without him but just wait until that first tourney he comes back and their ratings go through the roof.
