Instead of simply realizing that life doesn't always cater to me and wearing clothes that fit the in-office temperature, I should have just whined incessantly until I got my way because the world needs to revolve around me and what I want.

Good to know.
Doesn't only apply to middle aged women. At my previous office women of all ages bitched daily. It was a constant struggle. Two had tiny space heaters and one day one of them tripped the breaker and knocked out power to their entire desk section. No more space heaters from that point on. It was fantastic.

This seems to be a pretty common issue in many offices I've been in. Remodeling offices and partitions is always going to wreak havoc on equitable air flow, even if the original design was done properly.

I admit I do find it irritating when the temperature is ridiculous. My school is all messed up. Teachers downstairs are in 68 degree with air blowing and it's very cool feeling. Upstairs it's either colder than that or 80+. Those environments both suck for learning. I beg to just keep my gym 72. There are many days in Oct/April/May where if nothing was turned on (heat/cooling/blowers) it would be perfect as weather is cool in mornings and warmer in the afternoon....instead they'll for some reason have blowers on in the morning sucking in the cool air making it freezing (opening door from hallway to come in the blowing breeze knocks papers out of your hands)...then when it gets up to 85 blowers still blowing it and it gets stuffy hot.

72 please

Teachers downstairs pretty much are always layered and wearing clothes you'd wear in November but they wear them in Aug when it's 93 outside.

We waste a ton of money doing this. It's irritating.

What's really the issue here - your wife is cold or her boss is fat?

Could be both.
