Gosh a ruddies, Massillon showed the very first year of the playoffs why the poll system has no validity. That year they were number one in the AP and lost in the first round of the playoff. This year 6 out of 7 AP division champs lost in the playoff.

It shows anything can happen in a single elimination tournament. The AP looks at the quality of play over a 3 month sample. The tournament looks at 48 minutes. If you want to look at 1972, we were dominant against the best schedule in the country. Princeton played a soft schedule and barely pulled off the upset. We were still coming off of an emotional game against McKinley, while they were resting and preparing for us for months.

The better team is decided on the field. Princeton won. And in the future they won 3 Ohio top division football championships. Massillon won none. Tough schedule, baloney. They were and are chokers.

St. Xavier lost 5 times last season, but you claim that they were the best.

Massillon plays a god awful schedule. St X played the toughest schedule in the USA. All 15 teams on St X schedule would roll that little D2 program

St. X played 4 out of state teams and lost to 2 of them. We have won 8 in a row against out of state teams. Raider, who is your team?

So why not schedule St Iggy, St Ed, Moeller, and St X? Those are the best programs in Ohio
