Reports are that it was a suicide bomb in the lobby. 19 dead and 50 injured.

People suck.

Is this correlated by the crap she's said over the last year or so?

Pretty awful. Lot of the people there were probably kids/teens at their first ever concert. That would scare me shitless.

I think confronting reality head on is a better option than having to continually read new threads such as this.

Political comments belong in the politics section and I also think it's far from "white trash' wanting to know that you can go to a concert without being blown up by some religious lunatic.

RIP to those who lost their lives.

So if the bomber is indeed from said religion of "peace," you cannot mention it in the thread about said bombing?

Yea don't really get his beef? Letting in a ton of Muslims has not gone well for France or England (Belgium, etc), and people wonder why America doesn't want it.

Intel coming out that the kid's own family told officials he was dangerous, and he had spent a year in Libya at camps and such. How did someone ignore this?

Lol, my post has nothing to do with Islam. Justclassic QO making a comment on a thread about a suicide bomber killing kids at a concert about how the former president that he despises made a stupid comment about ISIS.

He can leave that shit for the politics forum or his front yard sign.

Yep, and that she hated America also. And now she has returned to the safety provided by the country and people she said she hates.

It was reported that a few years ago she said she wished that fans would blankety-blank die - and now some have.

Irony can be ironic at times. As far as Ms. Grande is concerned, we can only hope she learns some diplomatic skills from all of this.

How was he even let back into the UK at that point? If he was considered "dangerous" by his own family, went to some Libya camps, why would the British intel even let him back in? Did they think he was learning how to be a boy scout over there?
Honestly, Europe and the US have to teach themselves that there are times to be discretionary.

I'm assuming he was a British citizen. You can't just keep someone out of their country because you think they are bad

I think you're focusing on the wrong thing. Some teeny bobber singer saying something stupid has nothing to do with the terrorist act that has taken place. It almost sounds like you're blaming her. The one to blame is he insane hateful religious bigot who doesn't value the lives of innocent children.

QO made a reference to the "JV" team. Obama used this analogy when referring to ISIS once and it was a poor choice of words considering the impact they've had. For QO though, a poor, yet somewhat benign, choice of word by Obama years ago is always worth bringing up again and again to push the narrative that Obama was horrible and haterful, etc.

I don't think he is blaming her. Just pointing out the irony of somebody who publicly states she hates America, but now she has security with her taking her back to the country she hates. All for her safety. It's a larger scale version of the people who say "fuck the police," but call them for help when an emergency arrives.

Doc, I think you're thinking I said something completely different to what I actually said.

I most certainly did not blame her for this act. I knew exactly what I was focusing on, which was her comments and attitudes about fans, America, and Americans.

Interestingly, I had some folks on Facebook saying the same thing you just did, that I was somehow blaming her for what happened. Let me clarify:

The issue is NOT whether what she said had anything do with the terrorist act - It most certainly did not, as far as I know.

The issue IS what Ms. Grande has said in the past, as mentioned, and how she might view her fans, Americans, and America differently after this horrible incident, as compared to before - and therein lies the irony.

And like_that has accurately re-stated what I just said in a more pithy fashion. :)
