They are desperate....bring in Chapman to start the 8th, on the road...down 1?

Chapman's velocity is down slightly (101.1 to 100.0) and his spin rate is down a good bit. His slider therefore isn't as hard/sharp and he now doesn't look much different than several other bullpen guys around the league.

He has always been to obvious on what pitch is coming.

Rich Hill had a perfect game ruined in the 9th by an error and then lost both the no hitter and game in the 10th on a leadoff walk-off homer by Josh Harrison.

I feel mildly dirty celebrating that win, but let's face it -- when your team is having a "goin' nowhere" sort of season, ruining someone else's joy sometimes is all you have!

Regardless of what he said after the game, you know Hill had to be seething. Against Williams in eight innings, they got 7 hits, 4 walks and 1 HBP and couldn't get anyone across, he lost his perfect game on a ninth-inning error and then lost the no-hitter and game on the first batter in the 10th after being completely dominant through 9.
