Once again Congress looks out for themselves. Double standards as usual. I don't think this is just a Republican issue. I am sure the Democrats would want this protection too.

Just another argument for less government. Wake up people.

Or better government rather than GOP propaganda to hamstring government and then blame government.like_that;1849842 wrote:They already did.

Sounds like they've come up with a Plan B that the freedom caucus says they'll endorse.

I hate that people vote for a party........like_that;1849866 wrote:I agree. People should vote for the Libertarian party.
I wish voters would investigate the candidates and vote for the one that most closely aligned with their views and desires.

I agree with this. But, nobody wants to be the one who starts that ball rolling.Belly35;1850509 wrote:Federal government quagmire will remain the same until term limits is law ....then and only then will politicans, government and policy change and party politic agenda will be less a matter of voting popularity

Term limits don't need to be short. Set it at 12 years.Belly35;1850509 wrote:Federal government quagmire will remain the same until term limits is law ....then and only then will politicans, government and policy change and party politic agenda will be less a matter of voting popularity

I thought President Trump claimed he had a health care plan ready to go as soon as he was elected? I agree with Belly. Term limits are way over due. Both parties will never work together for fear of making the other party look good. Sad.

Great another health care bill to be voted on without knowing what's in it. New boss just like the old boss. SMH.

Honestly, I don't know why healthcare has to be "so complicated".ppaw1999;1851412 wrote:http://www.msn.com/en-us/news/politics/gop-rushing-to-vote-on-healthcare-without-analysis-of-changes/ar-BBAIzGe?li=BBnb7Kz

1) Make it illegal for insurance companies to ask about pre-existing conditions
2) Expand Medicaid and increase it's advertising budget.
I just accomplished what Obamacare did with 2 lines instead of 2000 pages.

Truth, otherwise people would wake up and realize that we really don't need them in many aspects of our lives.Heretic;1851464 wrote:Politicians need things to be complicated so they look important and necessary.

BIG Government involvement in health insurance created the problem.
Thinking government can then solve the problem is rather ludicrous. At this point, limiting further damage is a win.
What a sorry state ...........obamaKare remains the largest legislative and administrative disaster in the history of the republic.

How many of our laws are actually written by law school/public policy students with absolutely no real world experience? I'd guess most of it. I suppose it's great training for their future as a know-nothing politician.like_that;1851466 wrote:Truth, otherwise people would wake up and realize that we really don't need them in many aspects of our lives.
Got a bit of an education from a corporate "govt affairs" guy I worked with. Basically told me they pay lobbyists and make political donations to educate politicians from passing horrible laws (and, a lot of times, they're opposing litigation lawyers on the other side who are basically playing the govt like the lottery).
Lobbyists are a problem and a source of corporate welfare.....BUT if the bureaucrats were allowed to operate out of a vacuum in their little bubble the results would be a disaster.

I doub it gets thru. I would say it's a safe bet that cruz and paul vote against it. All it would take is one more "no."Laley23;1851474 wrote:How hard/easy will this get through the Senate?
