Currently? BAMN and ANTIFA are worse.
Most of the white supremacy groups are on the decline, although the KKK has ticked back up (but still only counts 5000-8000 members).
The two fastest growing hate group categories? Anti-muslim and Black Separatist. Don't believe they count Antifa, and of course BLM is not a hate group but clearly contains many radical haters.
I'd like to see a comparison of membership numbers. I have a suspicion, because of the social "acceptance" of many of these left wing groups and their members, there is more racism and hatred openly hiding in plain sight on the left.
Not to say there isn't more racism on the right. But I think what has changed is some of these right-wing groups have recently become more violent and combative (and, no, I'm not talking about the KKK history...and KKK these days is basically a bunch of old men playing dress up)....because that is what these left groups have been doing.
Lost in all this talk about Trump calling people out by name, the media rarely calls out violence from the left. It's not BLM - who's intentions are good and pure - causing violence is some bad actors exploiting the opportunity. But if the media were calling it both ways, BLM is a "dog whistle" to these racist "bad actors". If BLM was a white group, what would the response be....well, I think we know because there are already a variety of versions of a White Lives Matter (though its membership is probably tiny in comparison)
