I have often said that the most dangerous and destructive force today is not Russia, not ISIS or Al Qaida, but progressivism.

They have done in the past 8 years what no outside force, power or organization has been able to do....that is, divide this country, cast doubt and aspersions at its great institutions and history, and rock the bulwarks and underpinnings of our republic. Our founding fathers have been labeled as racists, the Constitution attacked and belittled, our flag disrespected as a symbol of all our imperfections. Pushing their agenda, they have set off racial tension, set men against women, attacked well meaning good people as racist, bigots, homophobes. They can't even be civil in the halls of Congress.

If George Bush and the Republicans own the Iraqi War and the great recession, then BHO and his minions own this.

This thread is intended as push back.
We the people who actually love our country need to call them out, so that good sense doesn't get drowned out by the volume of "Progressive" caustic uvulations.

This thread is NOT intended as a Trump apology thread.
DJT is the predictable bastard child of 8 years of bad behavior...and yes, they own that too.
Typically, having spawned him thru their irresponsible actions, now they want to 'abort' him. :o

Please post the latest crap that they pull and call them out......and there is plenty of it.

Google changed their definition of Fascism.

Merriam-Webster (has been defined this way forever) - a political philosophy, movement, or regime (as that of the Fascisti) that exalts nation and often race above the individual and that stands for a centralized autocratic government headed by a dictatorial leader, severe economic and social regimentation, and forcible suppression of opposition

Google - an authoritarian and nationalistic right-wing system of government and social organization.

This is from my physical dictionary, from 1995 (The New American Handy College Dictionary):

Fascism: a governmental system characterized by nationalism, regimentation, rigid censorship and suppression of opposition.

Fascist: a supporter of fascism or a believer in its policies; intolerant.

Which generally applies to anyone with an extreme political view (and in my perspective, is generally more likely to be found in those who lean left). Putting "right-wing" into the definition is laughable.

The left redefines words to suit their own narrative all the time. Like when any average individual turns their TV on and sees to them what would be a text book definition of a riot, but are being told they are really seeing some sort of a legitimate social protest. Or when an individual watches some leftist shouting down and disrupting another in order to prevent him from speaking or distract others who want to listen, is then told they are watching someone expressing their free speech rights.

Also the left gets to define what words or actions are offensive. When engaging in civil discourse one could find themselves being labeled a racist, bigot, or whatever word the left wants to slap "phobe" on the end of.

Exactly. And 'progressive' could be at the top of the list. A progressive is little more than a Marxist when you boil it all down, but if they called themselves Marxists they would not gain the public sympathy and political leverage they so desire. Ergo, make up a new descriptor.

Oh my, I'm sure this will be a popular destination and thread for most on here.

To me the progressives are just as bad as the hard core right wingers over the last 8+ years.
Both are just equally insufferable. The concepts of nuance, discourse, debate, civility, and the idea that maybe the other side has some valid possible points are completely lost. Instead, it is all about conflict, I'm right, I'm loud, and here are my own set data from my own bias site to provide my point.

The progressive that likes to protest saying Trump is Hitler is the same as the crazy Tea party guy from 2009 that yelled Obama was a Nazi and a Muslim.
Both disgust me frankly.

Most accurate post on the subject. Simple fact that the site's diehard conservatives don't want to admit is that their side has as much to do with the obnoxious dipshit progressives as anything else and one group's dumbass behavior is primarily the end result of the other group's dumbass behavior, but taken up another notch.

Agreed. There is no place for moderates in today's America unfortunately. With that being said, since I lean right moderate I am fine with piling on regressive liberals :RpS_lol:. As SP co-creator Matt Stone so elegantly put it, "I hate conservatives, but I really fucking hate liberals."

That's about like me, except since I lean left moderate, I save a bit more of my piling on for stone age social conservatives, lol.

Agreed on there being no place for moderates. Where do you go when you find a statements like Sarah Silverman calling for a military coup and 8 years of "Obama's a Muslim!!" equally idiotic.

If I'm talking to a liberal friend and use a tone that is anything but pure venom toward Trump then I'm a fascist (note, I hate Trump as a person and a president). If I'm talking to my 24x7 Fox News watching mother in law and I'm critical of anything Trump does then I'm the victim of "fake news". I don't want to live on this planet anymore...

Hail Trump!
America has done more to spread freedom in this world than any other nation in human history. But every nation has incidents in its past that are disgraceful, even America. And admitting those faults and mistakes is not being destructive but being honest. All human leaders have imperfections, even the most admired like Winston Churchill and Nelson Mandela or even Ronald Reagan. Our founding fathers were brilliant, patriotic men but many of the leading founders were slave owners including 4 of our first 5 Presidents. They owned other human beings, men, women and children. The Constitution is a magnificent document but it included a section defining blacks as 3/5ths a person and a fugitive slave section that required escaped slaves be returned to their masters. It took the bloodiest war in the history of the Western Hemisphere to get those sections removed from the document and slavery ended.
While the Republican Party does not have all the racists, misogynists, homophobes and bigots as members, it does have by far the large majority of them. And they got the President they wanted. And resisting him and them is not unpatriotic, quite the opposite.

Case in point COA said my criticism of trump is disingenuous. On the flip side I've had right leaning friends accuse me of being a liberal, because I criticized trump [emoji23].

I think that the democrat party should just relabel itself as the Progressive Party. I mean, really, it's kicked any conservative democrats to the curb and forgotten that it was once proud to call itself "liberal". Now they are full-on pursuing progressivism, so they might as well just publicly go with it.

Hail Trump! I guess the Republican should find a new name also. First there used to be something called a liberal Republican, no more. Now they pretty much have done it with moderate Republicans.

If the Democrats could get their heads out of their asses, have their most powerful figures do more than pretend to be caught up on today's progressive views and unite, they would win every election for the rest of my lifetime.
