Except James Jones wasn't a start or a league MVP. Nor is he ranked in the top 20 players of all time by the sport. Any other fails?sleeper;1839505 wrote:It's a snap shot in time of the best players in that era. I'm really not sure why you think this has any relevancy to the discussion. It's not like its meant to rank players, its merely an accolade given at a certain point in time. Would Otto Graham make the HOF in today's game? Given his mediocre stats and the ability to make the championship game(not win, but make) the game in a 8 team league called the AFAFC 10 times, I certainly doubt his ability to even MAKE an NFL team. CFL maybe but who really cares?
Your argument is akin to calling James Jones the GOAT because he made 6 straight NBA finals, no one cares. It does not matter. Sorry to tell the truth about your hero.

I asked you to justify your reason why Graham is the GOAT. You said he played in 10 championships in 10 years.Commander of Awesome;1839506 wrote:Except James Jones wasn't a start or a league MVP. Nor is he ranked in the top 20 players of all time by the sport. Any other fails?

Which I did. Otto Graham is closer to LBJ 6 straight finals trip than he is to James Jones 6 straight finals trip. You tried to diminish the feat by bringing up James Jones and I shot it down easily. Any other questions lil guy?sleeper;1839508 wrote:I asked you to justify your reason why Graham is the GOAT. You said he played in 10 championships in 10 years.

Still waiting for you to explain how HOF isn't a gauge for the games best players.

Because the HOF isn't revised from year to year. Once you are in, you are in for life. It's meaningless when trying to decide the greatest at each position because its RELATIVE to when you played and if you happened to play in a time where you are the best of the trash than you get HOF status.Commander of Awesome;1839509 wrote:Which I did. It's just like why playing in 10 championships over 10 years means a lot less when the league is only at 8 teams. Just like the MVP means a lot less when there are only 8 teams and 90% of the league was white people.

yeah yeah, pile on sleeper. I'd do the same if I had no balls and couldn't back up my own arguments with data and critical analysis.like_that;1839512 wrote:Sleeper just keeps digging a deeper hole.

Just admit you made a dumb comment and move on. There are literally 0 people who agree with you and that includes outside of this forum.sleeper;1839515 wrote:yeah yeah, pile on sleeper. I'd do the same if I had no balls and couldn't back up my own arguments with data and critical analysis.
If you talk to anybody who is knowledgeable about football and you tell them you don't know who Otto is and that he is trash, you would be laughed to shame.

Terrell Owens not making HOF is dumb. Why is the football HOF so resistant to put receivers in?

He gets in, but his enshrinement is getting delayed because they are punishing him for being an ass hole. It's stupid, but it's no secret as to why.Ironman92;1839537 wrote:Terrell Owens not making HOF is dumb. Why is the football HOF so resistant to put receivers in?

Saw a tweet that some teams clocked Ross at 4.16 or 4.19. That would be insane, but like I92 said, probably gonna be high 4.2s when official.
Samuel is doing well. Running in the 4.3s and doing well on bench is gonna help his stock.

Looks like 4.22 is official for Ross. That breaks Chris Johnson's record of 4.24, right?
Samuel's 4.31 is official too.

Interested to hear the details on this. All that I've seen is that he became agitated when he had to wait a significant amount of time for his physical exam.superman;1839787 wrote:What the hell happened with him?
