The Big Ten is a pretty decent conference...with Michigan sucking ass. When (if???) they get good...watch out. Just wanted to throw that out there.

Illinois is another team will considerable talent that can very well get better next season. Ron Zook can't possibly be that bad, can he?

It's not like it wasn't justified before. The Big 10 was talked down upon because they put themselves in that position. But it will change now.

The crew on Sportscenter last night (Scott Van Pelt and some other guy) were giving the Big 10 love. They said that they've been getting hammered the last few years for bad performances/records in Bowl/big OOC games but give them their due this Bowl season.

Now give them love for giving the Big 10 love. LOL

Ron Zook can recruit, but can't do ANYTHING else.

I'm hoping UM gets good again real soon...only because the fiancee did undergrad and grad up there and her parents have season tickets, so would be nice to go to good games there. :D

The Big 10 deserved alot of the criticism they got last year. 1-6 in 2009 bowl games will make you an easy target. On top of that, you had Ohio St as the flag bearer for the past few seasons and the huge losses against Florida and LSU on the big stage didn't help. (Ohio St got more crap after losing to Texas, which I felt was unfair seeing how as Texas was ranked higher, and still needed a last second TD to win)

But yes, they did have a strong bowl season, and I have to admit, that save Ohio St I wasn't real confident about any of the other matchups

Zook can recruit but doesn't do shit with the talent he brings in (yeah, ok, he went to a Rose Bowl as a 3 loss club blah blah blah).

Jessie Palmer should just STFU. not like his Florida teams had great performances in bowl games either(got waxed in a Sugar Bowl by DA U and then beat by a Michigan State team in the Cap 1 Bowl that shouldn't have been on the same field as them)

OSU returns a lot, Wisky will be a tough team, Iowa returns their QB, top WR, and both their RBs, Penn State will be down but will still be tough, and HOPEFULLY Michigan will get competitive. The Big 10 will be looking up next year.

Illinois is a lot like Ole Miss under Ed Orgeron. A lot of talent, some great individual talent but those kids are stuck with a bad head coach and won't reach their true potential as a team until Zook is gone.

Ok I'll give em some love. They went 4-3 in the Bowl games. Move over SEC here comes the Big 10. What would happen if the Big 10 goes 7 or 8 and 0 in a bowl season. We'd be hearing, "get then in the NFC East."

Who were the big OOC victories during the season?

Michigan should be better next year but until they get more talent on the defensive side of the ball they will continue to lose. I think RichRod is in big trouble because they probably will be no better than 6-6 or 7-5 and Michigan alums and fans will have had enough of that crap. As a Buckeye fan, I want Michigan to be good again, it's no great accomplishment to beat them when they are 5-7 or 3-9.
