It is pretty simple why he won; and stunningly amazing that folks like you still don't get it.
Once again, your blind partisan stupidity is rearing its head. Trump's win is easily tied into the ongoing "people are getting more stupid/lazy" concept because he's just like Obama, Bush II, Clinton, Reagan and so on: the guy with more charisma and better soundbites. That's what has won the vast majority of elections over the last few decades. People can try to connect the dots so they say what they personally want, like you do daily, but the simple reality is that Trump won because he was better at getting people fired up with his words. Just like Obama over Romney and McCain; Bush II over Kerrey and Gore and so on.
Until actual action takes place, no one can say Trump is any different from Obama heading into actually taking office. He said a bunch of vague "things will be better" lines with no definite plan in place and people ate it up because it sounded good and like what they wanted to hear. Soon, reality will set in and it'll be time to see if he actually has the means to enact his promises. I mean, he's already gone from "We're building a wall and Mexico's paying for it!" to "We're building a wall, your tax dollars will pay for it, but I'll get Mexico to pay us back! Really! Honest!" while Mexico's pretty much like "Lol, fuck naw.", so that's one promise that's slowly fizzling.
