In the Horizon tournament, the #1, 2, and 3 seeds have all lost in the quarterfinals.

Alec Peters going out is a true shame. I think Valpo takes it, and with him, they could've done damage in the tournament. Not sure anyone else left can even threaten their opponent.

Northern Kentucky isn't horrible. They won't be one of the top 5 worst who get auto bids. It would be a good story as it's their first year they are eligible to make the NCAA Tournament.

Some solid games tonight.

Charleston (25-8) vs UNC Wilmington (28-5) in the Colonial Championship
East Tennessee State (26-7) vs UNC Greensboro (25-8) in the SoCon Championship.

Two very dangerous winners from these games.

Buy or sell that UConn is actually bad for women's college basketball.

Sell, I don't think the vast majority of sports fans would care about women's college basketball whether there was a dominant team or not.

I'll say this about UConn. What they are doing, within context, is amazing. People think they just get all the good players...they don't. They have averaged something like the 7th best recruiting class over the last 4 or 5 years. Certainly, they get talent, but it's much more credit to the system, the player development and the coaching.

Hell of a run and effort by Milwaukee. Finished last, 8-23 overall and on a 9-game losing streak heading into the Horizon Tourney, they almost won 4 games in 4 days.

Agreed. Women's game is more about that I feel because you don't have the athleticism and height differences of the men's game

I'd have to give a neutral response on this, as I can't see me giving much of a fuck about women's BB regardless. I mean, knowing the championship is almost a 100% foregone conclusion doesn't help, but when the sport struggles to maintain my interest regardless, I doubt I'd be glued to the TV no matter what.

Miami beat Syracuse today in the ACC Tournament. Lunardi had Cuse in as one of his "Last Four Byes" going into today, but they're squarely on the bubble now.

Wake Forest is one of the "Last Four In" right now, and I suppose Clemson could get back into the conversation if they beat Duke today. Georgia Tech is probably officially done after losing to Pitt last night.

Still looking like the ACC has 8 solidly in with a chance for 9 or 10.

Syracuse's RPI now stands at 85. Would be by far the lowest ever to get an at-large bid. I see them being left out.

Jimmy, after the game, saying the ACC tourny has no business being in Greensboro and belongs in the big cities. Spoken like a true Big East chest pounder. Can't wait for his doucheness to be out of the league.

Clemson will get in if they win today, imo. Cuse is done. Wake will be in with another win. Ga. Tech never had a chance.

Carolina
Louisville
ND
Virginia
Duke
Virginia Tech
Miami
FSU

Those 8 are locks. With Wake and Clemson as potentials.

Strangely (lol), on ESPN, both Jay (Duke) Williams and Seth (Virginia Tech) Greenberg both think ACC Syracuse has still done enough to be in.

Completely agree. He's an asshole. I don't think they deserve to be in, but I hope they get left out just to spite him. lol

City of Greensboro Twitter hit back with "I guess you can lose in the first round anywhere. At least it's a short ride home."

Well, all the ACC bubble teams lost yesterday. Despite that, Lunardi still has Cuse and Wake in the tournament field right now as part of the Last Four In. Looking at the group of teams listed behind them, he may very well be right. What a weird season.

Already fired after the season Missouri coach Kim Anderson to the AD after their first round win against Auburn in the SEC Tournament..."stick it up your ******* ass..."

Part of me hopes they somehow make a run...

I thought I heard something like that after his post-game sideline interview, but I was pretty drunj, so wasn't positive. Lol, just lol.
