Being a Carolina fan, I'm pretty hesitant to cast stones about academic issues, obviously. However, I agree. Duval's high school academics appear to be pretty questionable. It seems like K definitely will have to pull some strings to get the NCAA to declare him eligible.

Follow the recruitment. I'm not saying anything that many others aren't.

Please show me any academic issues any UK players have had? They simply don't offer guys like that.

Duke was desperate for a PG, Duval is a very good one. But call a spade a spade.

WWW is involved with about 25 college basketball programs, including Duke. This is one of the dumbest and most inaccurate narratives ever, assuming WWW only is involved with Calipari and Kentucky.

I didn't say UK recruits poor academic kids. I just thought it was funny that you waited until he committed to Duke to make fun of his academics.

UK had definitely benefited from Cal's relationship with WWW. One of the dumbest and most inaccurate statements ever to put words in someone else's mouth.

I never said they haven't. I said there's no reason to associate him directly with UK when he's done the same for many, many other coaches.

Nobody ever expected him to go to college. It wasn't really relevant to college basketball. Duke lost everyone. Duke hasn't had a good PG since Tyus Jones. All of the sudden, Duval is interested in college and commits to Duke. I'm not saying anything shady happened. I'm just pointing out the storyline.

Justin Jackson is returning to Maryland. I got so incredibly excited when I saw this at first because I stopped reading after "returning".

Also, Cameron Johnson is a graduate of Pitt. He graduated in THREE years and wants to transfer. Carolina is the leader and he would have 2 years of eligibility remaining. But Pitt won't let him unless he sits out a year which would make him lose a year.

The annual "you can leave, but only to the schools we will allow you to go to" shit show.

If I was Pitt, I'd be re-evaluting a few things about my basketball program. Replacing Dixon with Stallings was a coaching downgrade compounded by how Stallings seems to be a gigantic POS whom no one actually wants to play for. This decision only makes things worse, as it'd have to be a killer as far as getting quality kids to want to commit.

Never ceases to amaze me how schools pull this shit which always ends up creating a storm in the media and they eventually allow them to go wherever.

I don't understand how, legally, it happens. Obviously, I don't know word for word what their scholly terms are. But it makes no sense how this is even allowed. The kid is no longer a student at the university.

I'd understand it, but the coach who recruited Johnson also changed jobs...

It would be different if I recruit a kid, develop him and he bails as a grad transfer to a conference rival.

But a coach can leave and go wherever he hell he wants with no issue.

It's a joke. No matter the situation.

He was saying that most teams were telling him that he'll go near the end of the first round, but I think this could end up being a mistake. I feel like he could easily fall into the second round, but I hope I'm wrong. He does have a lot of potential, so hopefully he ends up with a good fit and has some time to develop.

Carolina is really gonna be hurting in the post unless Brooks, Huffman, and Manley come along quickly.

It's funny how like 50-60 prospects claim to get "first round grades or guarantees" every year.

This is what happens when your entire state has nothing but college basketball.

His phone number go on the internet and his business site got more hits than ever. Big deal. Threatening his life or that of his family or friends, fine, over the line, but the other stuff is shit that happens all the time. Heck, savvy online folks could find most of our phone numbers or where we work. UK is like what, 2-11 in games he refs under Calipari yet the overall win percentage in that time frame is like 85%? There's more than enough anecdotal stories that have come out referring to Higgins being very open about hating Kentucky in the past.

Not sure what's funny. Essentially, posting his phone number or trolling his business website, immature, but not criminal.
