And no, Bernie would not have beaten Trump, nor did he win the primary (he got 3 million less votes).

Yeah, if you look at cold, hard stats, the simple truth is that fewer people turned out for this election than when Obama won twice. Clinton also got a lower portion of both the black and hispanic vote (and the black vote was notably less than when Obama was on the ticket). I mean really...As long as the Trump of the campaign was mostly WWE to win and a competent staff materializes...I think Trump is essentially an independent who took over the GOP.
I think he will work with both Schumer and McConnell. He is anti-Middle East boondoggle. We'll get deficit spending and tax cuts (would have been impossible with Hillary)
And maybe the dems purge the identity politics after the woeful failure. I am feeling optimistic.
