The whole racist, sexist angle just pisses me off. The state of SC votes for a minority (Indian) woman governor and a black male republican senator, but they're racist or sexist for not voting Obama or Hillary. Laughable.

Identity politics. It's the D's main weapon.

Same here, and it's one of the biggest reasons I think college degrees are overrated for people just looking to "get a good job" when they get out. Makes me wish there were more vocational schools for business, mathematics, accounting, etc. If someone doesn't care about the gen-ed classes or the minor, let them get the two-year degree. It'll save everyone time and money.

Seems like it's a lot of people's weapon, but yeah, the Democratic Party certainly does seem to have it in spades.

I didn't suggest you should care about a flag. I only added to your post my thoughts of him being labeled a bigot was possibly the result of an overdone, media effect.

On a separate issue, his Supreme Court nominations possibly being more conservative than those that Ms. Clinton might nominate was the only thing that made me take a long, hard look at Mr. Trump. From that perspective, you and I hold opposite views.

Very good read. I posted early this morning on this thread that had the DNC not shafted Bernie he would be the president elect today. I also remember posting prior to the democrat convention that if Bernie took his "revolution" to the floor there were enough super delegates for him to turn and win the nomination. Unlikely at the time I know, after all the DNC was smart and the super delegates were there to insulate the party from the unwashed mobs. With the wikileaks just prior to the democrat convention showing the fix was in you could sense that Bernie supporters were hoping he would step up. In hindsight he must be thinking it would have been worth the fight, but he sold out and endorsed the epitome of everything he railed against. Then after the many wikileaks dumps since Hillary's nomination he lowers himself even further and campaigns for her in North Carolina. He must be kicking himself in the ass. The DNC owns this one.

I don't get it....a Democrat DID win the election, one who is to the left of Hillary on more than a few issues....so why the butthurt and suicidal paranoia?

Some Conservatives here were quite gracious and respectful 4 and 8 years ago so I'm trying to be the same today

Well, the election is over. It was damn close, though. I should put something in its place. Any ideas?

Hard to hate that. If you're gonna be all respectful and such, don't go away. You're bringing up the average.

Or, something about me getting my own CNN show in the 8:00 hour would probably be appropriate as well.

Maybe I don't get it, but I think Bernie would have been as hard or harder of a sell than Hillary.

Now the electorate is too uneducated. Lol more people go to college than ever should and the DNC still lost.

I'm disappointed, I was looking forward to rioting with all my conservative brethren today

Was out to dinner tonight and on a TV CNN had a discussion going with nine panelists. I didn't catch most of their credentials other than a few former presidential/campaign advisers. Like we should give a damn what they think at this point. Who's still fucking watching this shit.

If election decisions were based on policy, I would agree.

However, based on the comparison between his and her funding, as well as the absence of scandal for him, I think he'd be an easier sell.
