We see guys every night with 4x his stuff in the AL. He looks like a scrub to me every time out.

The Cubs just don't take enough pitches to win a WS. The reason all of those Texas and Detroit teams could never breakthrough was this exactly. You can't slug your way to the title, you've got to take pitches, be patient, make good contact and get solid pitching and defense. This is why Cleveland continues to manufacture runs and not fly ball outs like the Cubs have these last two rounds

Why take out Lester for anyone but Aroldis? The bullpen is unpredictable.

You just have to mention Detroit in every post. One of the many reasons everyone hates you

No, when he's on that 97 mph high fastball explodes and slider is nasty...but he hasn't had the location much later in the season

Don't care. Really though they figured we could just stack the lineup and win it all, meanwhile the Cardinals, Giants, Red Sox and Royals broke through doing all the things Cleveland is right now. Chicago is learning this lesson right now

I know his numbers. I was being somewhat sarcastic in regards to his stuff but he's hasn't looked great to me in the playoffs when I've seen him.

Mainly because he never gets out of what he started. Maybe he feasted off the damn Reds and Brewers.....this is the playoffs and Giants/Dodgers were no slouches

Texas didn't break thru because with 2 outs in the 9th of the clincher Nelson Cruz was NOT ready or expecting David Freese to come his way. Clearly caught up in the moment and it could not have been more punishing.

I do agree with you though. Smoltz has sung it as well. Cubs not taking walks like they have much of the season. Cards/Royals seemed to live by going oppo every chance, rarely swinging for the 45 degrees playoff HR. Just stop mentioning Detroit lol.

Nowhere to PH Schwarber as Montero has been used. Maddon assing things up being conventional. Dusty Baker is chewing on toothpicks agreeing with him.
