How in the hell is Texas even in this shape though? Since winning the national title they're 48-40 including 3 losing seasons, all of this while being the big dog in the most talent rich state in the nationCrimson streak;1825273 wrote:I was really really hoping ND would can Brian Kelly this year and throw a bunch of money at Herman. Choosing Swoopes over JT in recruiting doesn't help you win ball games either.ernest_t_bass;1825282 wrote:Mack Brown, Boosters, AD, etc.

College football is all about coaching. Texas hasn't had good coaching recently. Hence, they haven't been good recently.
Remember "Texas is back!" After Texas beat notre dame this year? Feels like forever ago lol. Crazy how fast things change in college football. And also why I was so harsh on buike when it was like week 8 and he was saying there's only 6 teams still in it. College football is crazy. Can't predict it.

Serious question, does ND not have crazy ass boosters?Crimson streak;1825273 wrote:I was really really hoping ND would can Brian Kelly this year and throw a bunch of money at Herman. Even then I still think he would pick Texas but at least at ND he wouldn't have to deal with the crazy ass boosters

On another note, might Herman wait to see if a certain coach wins his 4th title and decides that's enough?

I highly doubt Saban hangs it up. He'll be there for another 5 years, IMO.

For the most part they stay out of it. When ND is winning football games they are very quiet, but when you have a season like this one they start getting a little louder. They are not even close to Texas though. I'm pretty sure the reason saben never wanted the Texas job was bc of their crazy ass boosters..queencitybuckeye;1825297 wrote:Serious question, does ND not have crazy ass boosters?

I think Meyer (who's 13 years younger), like Saban, will go at least another 5 years...even after Urban wins it all again this year.queencitybuckeye;1825298 wrote:On another note, might Herman wait to see if a certain coach wins his 4th title and decides that's enough?

I'll be surprised if Urban is coaching in 2022 and I'll be surprised if Saban is still at Bama in 2021

SEC offense is so bad. It's why their conference is so overrated, you have one team in the top 14 and your teams can't score 20 points in perfect weather. A UM/PSU vs WIS title would be so much better than FLA/ALA

LSU loses at home to Florida....inside 1 for 2 plays at very end.
Now 4 losses, probably drop a spot or two. Florida will now jump 8-10 spots
