They aren't seamen. That would be an E-3. They are Midshipmen.

Yeah, I know..was just too easy..... The unis arent bad. Army's look better but they likely will get smoked. Hope to catch some of it before our military 'ball'/dining out saturday evening.

I wouldn't be so sure. Navy's pretty beat up and will be playing a 3rd string QB. Slot backs a deep into the depth chart. Starting ILB is out too.

What Mil Ball you attending??

It's just our unit's and I think some from the battalion/group are showing up as well. Usually a decent event. Last year we had a speaker who was a MoH recipient and also received Korea's equivalent as well and he was interesting.

It's not classified as 'mandatory fun' but still good to attend for esprit de corps.

but anyways........


I was surprised Browning didnt get enough votes to go to NY for the Heisman. Figured with no one else out west he would get those votes.

Yep, looks like the Houston Board of Trustees needs to approve the hiring and then it's a done deal. Wonder if he'll stick around Bama for the playoffs?

Still sounds like Schiano is a candidate at USF.

Fickell is rumored to be a candidate at Cincinnati and could take Coombs with him.

Even Tim Beck is a candidate at FAU. They can have him, as far as I'm concerned. lol

Right now the three candidates for the Cincy job including Fickell are Troy HC Neal Brown and App State HC Scott Satterfield.

Also read somehwere that Lincoln Riley (OC at Oklahoma) might be in the running. He supposedly was a candidate for the Houston job, but pulled his name out a few days ago.

I hope they all leave. Larry Johnson is about the only assistant coach that matters; he can recruit and coach.

I still don't get how Lamar Jackson is the favorite and Pat Mahomes wasn't invited. Please tell me the difference? Jackson made key mistakes that took his team out of contention late and is on a team not even in a big six bowl. His stats don't compare to Mahomes either.

Fickell is now in contract negotiations with UC.

Strong is in Tampa today continuing talks with USF. He has also been approached by Oregon to be DC.
