For starters, I didn't see any games, and I'm only going on the scores and a few updates.

It looks like I was either wrong about Tuslaw or wrong about Chippewa. Maybe it was just a matchup issue? The score is shocking.
O-Trap;1809558 wrote:Dalton: I think Clearview has shown quite a bit of promise, and while Dalton is on the upswing, I think they're a little further behind. Clearview should win, and they might win by a lot.

I was wholly and completely wrong on this matchup. I don't know what resulted in the three touchdowns' difference, but it's three touchdowns. There's only so much you can do to justify that as being a "closer" game in person.
O-Trap;1809558 wrote:Hillsdale: They beat Ashland Crestview, who isn't exactly a scrub. Loudonville is rebuilding. This one could get really ugly.
oldsmithie;1810268 wrote:Hillsdale 20 Loudonville 14
Again, I was wrong. Like the Chippewa game, I don't know if I overestimated Hillsdale or underestimated Loudonville, but either way, I bet this was a fun game to watch, based on their usual brands of football.
O-Trap;1809558 wrote:Northwestern: This will be the game of the week, I believe. Columbia looks sharp, as does Northwestern so far. Should be a good game.
oldsmithie;1810268 wrote:Northwestern 22 Columbia 7
Columbia was looking like a tough team this year. The result of this game has me thinking Northwestern might be the team to beat in the WCAL.
O-Trap;1809558 wrote:Norwayne: Even at 1-1, I think they'll be fine against Firestone, who has lost in two blowouts against two admittedly good teams. I don't think Norwayne will blow them out, but I think they'll win by a pair of touchdowns.
oldsmithie;1810268 wrote:Norwayne 32 Firestone 8
Finally, I
kinda got one right, though you might be able to call this one a "blowout" with 3-plus touchdowns.
O-Trap;1809558 wrote:Rittman: Rittman may come into league play a 3-0. After drubbing Richmond Heights and edging South Central, I like them against another 0-2 team.
oldsmithie;1810268 wrote:Mapelton 34 Rittman 26
It was a close game. I was off, but I don't feel as bad about this one.
O-Trap;1809558 wrote:Smithville: They'll win by a pair of TDs. My guess is that they'll play a sloppy game and that they should actually win by at least twice what they actually win by, but they'll still get to 3-0.
oldsmithie;1810268 wrote:Smithville 35 Fairless 14
Instead of a pair of TDs, it was a trio of them. Still, from what I've heard, they did play a somewhat sloppy game on defense. I was close on this one, though I'm not sure what they should have won by, having not been there.
O-Trap;1809558 wrote:Waynedale: I can see this one being a close game. I will probably still say Triway wins, but it wouldn't shock me if it was by less than a touchdown.
oldsmithie;1810268 wrote:Triway 42 Waynedale 17
Once again, I was dead wrong.
I obviously have no idea how the league is going to shape up. At best, I give myself a half-right on Northwestern, a right call on Norwayne, and a half game on Smithville. That's a 2-for-8 record on the week.
Under the circumstances, here's how I see the league playing out:
1. Northwestern
2. Chippewa/Smithville
3. Chippewa/Smithville
4. Norwayne
5. Hillsdale
6. Dalton
7. Rittman/Waynedale
8. Rittman/Waynedale
