The only downside is Lucroy is under contract next year, and so is Yan. In fact Yan is until like 2022...and 9mil starting in 2020

Depending on Napoli next year, lucroy has the bat to move to 1st if needed as well. I don't see it being a huge dealLaley23;1803750 wrote:The only downside is Lucroy is under contract next year, and so is Yan. In fact Yan is until like 2022...and 9mil starting in 2020

Unless Napoli goes 0 for the rest of the year...we need him back next year. What a difference maker. Everybody around him gets better pitches to hit and you can't pitch around Lindor.Crimson streak;1803751 wrote:Depending on Napoli next year, lucroy has the bat to move to 1st if needed as well. Yeah, Napoli is a playoff team must. He gets it done everywhere he goes.

Actually, defensively Naquin is one of the worst starting CF in the league...Which is kinda shocking. Still is baeTBone14;1803727 wrote:I like Naquin. His approach at the play since coming back has been better...so are his results and defensively he is great. He made a flat-footed throw home the game the streak ended in Toronto that was ridiculous.
Kipnis is having his best season ever-probably better than either of his All Star seasons but 2B is so stacked in the AL he got a little snubbed.

Yea, I just looked at the stats. According to them...he is horrible. But it seems like he gets to a lot of balls and has made some strong throws. My eyes lie. Advanced analytics don't.ohiobucks1;1803796 wrote:Actually, defensively Naquin is one of the worst starting CF in the league...Which is kinda shocking. Still is bae

I dont think he is very good going back, and has misplayed a bunch of balls on the run.TBone14;1803814 wrote:Yea, I just looked at the stats. According to them...he is horrible. But it seems like he gets to a lot of balls and has made some strong throws. My eyes lie. Advanced analytics don't.
He also really struggles getting to a good spot on flyballs to be able to catch it coming forward, keeping guys on second from tagging. Too often he glides back and catches it kinda flatfooted.
Just a rookie though, and getting better.

Doesn't he have a cannon for an arm? Ususlly guys with howitzers can make up for shitty angles with a cannon arm. I read somewhere about him throwing out a running at home from CF, anyone got a gif of that?ohiobucks1;1803796 wrote:Actually, defensively Naquin is one of the worst starting CF in the league...Which is kinda shocking. He takes terrible paths to the ball, and like another poster said he doesn't understand coming up to it to catch to cut off a runner, but he does seem to have an arm. And if you can bat .300 I don't give a shit if you miss a high pop every 30 games
