Its premiere drew over a 6.5. Last season they struggled to stay above 2.0 and had a few in the 1.9 range. That's awful. I'm clearly not the only one lol.

Not sure the show has had a rating over 3 since the first 2-3 episodes.

I don't completely disagree with this. Mike is awesome.

Who said anything about TV ratings? TV ratings are so damn pointless. It's like movie critics; they'll call a shit movie good, and a good movie shit.

Everyone I personally know who's watched Saul has loved it. You saying you don't like it is the first time I've heard that.

Laley I normally agree with you on a lot of stuff... but like S&L I think you're crazy Better Call Saul is really good and you are the first person I've met that doesn't like it haha.

A guy at work was talking about The Americans the other day guess thats a show I need to add to my must watch list. I still need to watch House of Cards season 4 and Daredevil season 2 on Netflix. Then I missed recording a couple shows so now I'm just waiting for them to hit Netflix/Hulu to get caught up.

I guess I'm on an island lol.

I liked S1, and I love every scene Mike is in, but the Saul portion of the storyline has barely moved. I just find it incredibly boring. And I can't stand the brother plotline. He is a pretty worthless character and his problems hurt the show more than if he was normal.

One of my issues with breaking bad was by the end, Pinkman was the only character I even cared about a little. I think Jimmy's brother being a nut/jackass and Jimmy still caring for him makes Jimmy more likeable.

This is interesting...I've held off on starting Better Call Saul because nobody has told me it's that great. Almost every person I've talked to (talking about 5 people here...not a huge sample but people who tend to like the same shows I do) have told me it is super slow and there are better things to catch up on first.

It is very slow. That is a true fact. But it's also very, very good.

This is what I mean. Everyone knows the outcome, so the writers and producers have basically decided to milk the seasons along slowly to get to the endgame slower, for more money. Sauls storyline just hasn't progressed hardly at all in 2 seasons from the first episode.

I pretty much agree with everything you've said.

It may be well-written. It may be well-acted. But Jimmy, right now, is not particularly interesting or compelling. Honestly, if not for the BB-hype, and Mike, along with other memorable BB cameos....I don't think it even gets a second season.

Same here. I watch (or at least have on as background noise) sports all the time, but hardly ever watch actual shows.

I'm almost through with Banshee (just need time to watch, well, most of the last season) and after that, I might binge my way through Game of Thrones, but I really haven't gotten into that many series. Just guess I use my free time in other ways -- have my own "nerd pursuits" to keep my occupied, lol.

Just discovered Peaky Blinders and already have half of it watched. Great show. Scarecrow and Bane are awesome.

It's especially tough with young kids. I don't think my daughter really is affected by the violence/nudity/sex of GoT yet, but I won't watch it until after she goes to bed. But we watch a lot of Bubble Guppies and Mickey Mouse Clubhouse.

How about the cliffhanger when Bubble Baby was born? That was something.

I'm pretty up to speed on Paw Patrol and Blaze and the Monster Machines if anybody would like to start a debate.

Lol'd. I usually just select the on-demand channel and pick whichever one I can't remember her watching six times already. She's seen the one where bubble puppies' doghouse has been destroyed many times. It's good if I have something. I'll just put it on and she stares at the TV like a zombie for 25 minutes.

Sounds like The Killing from a few years ago on AMC. Was slow but kept watching, until they pulled that stunt and didn't wrap it up in one season. Then I lost interest and didn't watch season 2. Guess It was resurrected or something on Netflix.

not really--it just seems like the show's "running in sand"...know what I mean?
