While I agree he seemed like he had rabbit ears, I don't believe it was just 'one thing' that he had said. One analyst had said he was chirping the whole game after the call on his K in the 4th. Friend of mine is old college roomates with a MLB ump and he said pretty much the magic words aren't necessarily cuss words, but what is said. If ya say it was a bullship call, or a fucking terrible call, etc.....ya are likely ok but once you start calling HIM fucking terrible, etc. then that is what the ticket.Ironman92;1795609 wrote:Manager Dusty was tossed also but the walk off HR was literally 1 minute after ejection. Harper hadn't made it far from dugout and Dusty still in sight.
I'd like the rabbit ear ump to be fined. They get paid plenty of coin....one thing being yelled from the dugout shouldn't result in an ejection.
In this case I think it was likely poor judgement by the ump to toss him, but also BS for Harper to do what he did when he came out.

Is Beltre the baddest man in MLB, he just held Bautista up, then after Fielder got hit, ask who from Toronto wanted a piece of him.

Started a thread on another site....he is up there on the "probably shouldn't mess with" list.Sonofanump;1795872 wrote:Is Beltre the baddest man in MLB, he just held Bautista up, then after Fielder got hit, ask who from Toronto wanted a piece of him.
Beltre has great strength and definitely has that crazy to him.
Aroldis Chapman is a big ol dude and has a boxing background.
Ortiz, Matt Kemp
Probably shouldn't charge Syndergaard on the mound. Greinke isn't big but definitely has that crazy also. Jeff Samardzija and Madison Bumgarner as well.
Hunter Pence might be psycho
Would love to see Papelbon get whooped
Big dudes like Holliday, Chris Davis, Stanton

One of the best landed shots in MLB history. Interesting, many people saying Odor's throw on the DP was an attempt to hit Bautista in the face.

Have to believe Odor will be suspended for a long, long time.

Nope, the he was doing it in response to the bat flip by Bautista. That he was planning it before he even slid into 2nd hard. There's apparently a history with him and Bautista?Ironman92;1795894 wrote:Didn't look as if he had time to execute that plan. Too bang bang

I do agree with you, that there was no way you would choose to throw at him as he slid. The slide and throw happened simultaneously. It just happened to be a coincidence as it was a dirty as hell slide. He didn't even start the slide until he was past the base.

Having played SS at the college level (really played OF in college but in college level summer leagues played a good amount of SS), I can tell you that it most certainly does happen.Ironman92;1795894 wrote:Didn't look as if he had time to execute that plan. Too bang bang
When you have someone at first you KNOW slides dirty and stays "up", you will drop your arm level and throw "stomach/chest high" so that if they stay high, they get hit in the face, if they get under it then it is a decent throw to first. It leaves it up to them.
I have hit guys right on the top of the forehead/hat brim and top of the head, never the face. Its is an effective "tool" to get those 'tools' to actually slide for real and not try to hurt you.

This is definitely true, if a SS is going to 'go low' on a throw, it has to be planned. Like I said in the above post when I played it was usually for the times when a real dirty slider was at first. So someone there was a 'history' with.Azubuike24;1795903 wrote:Nope, the he was doing it in response to the bat flip by Bautista. That he was planning it before he even slid into 2nd hard.
