Wheaton coming on at the pace like Emmanuel Sanders...he's not perfect but he and AB are a good 1-2 combo

Bryant not appealing, gone for a year. Sucks, he's fun as hell to watch. Fortunately he's young and they'll hold on to him. Let's hope he gets his shit together.

Wonder if the media will do the same QQ/fake outrage about the steelers not cutting him the same way they treated the Browns and Josh Gordon. My assumption is nope.

I would think so, his rookie contract is frozen and will restart if he's ever reinstated.

Sounds like he's checking into rehab for depression?

I believe he had issues with depression before.

A few days ago I heard a report that the depression leading to the failed test would be brought up in the appeal. It appears they realized that didn't have a shot a in hell at helping his case.

I won't make fun of depression issues but it doesn't ok substance abuse and I can't understand it.

I have trouble understanding how a professional NFL guy in his mid 20's can have depression issues.

I'll root for him to make it back but I won't root for him to make it back to the Steelers. I'll root for him to beat depression and substance abuse and eventually return to the league and preferably in the NFC somewhere.

You'd be surprised. He needs to get that shit in check before anything.

Big time, depression is a real thing man. Not boohoo my feelz got hurt, but legit chemical imbalances in the brain. If you've ever been close to someone suffering from clinical depression I think it would help you understand a little more.

I'll be the first to admit, I was very uneducated regarding depression and anxiety until a close friend was dealing with it. I had the "suck it up / deal with it" attitude.

He had zero issues with it his entire life until his mid-twenties, then boom....major issues, hospital visits due to panic attacks, meds, the works. He has a handle on it now, but it when it first came about it was pretty bad.

How's it one of the dumber things you've read on here? I'm sure this will turn into an Ironman is dumb, uneducated and without compassion for people with troubles, but I haven't had any major dealings of being around anyone with the severe chemical imbalance depression. So while I am ignorant to the severity I understand the severity. I hope he gets the help needed and fully zaps the problem forever.

My post about not being able to understand was more to the not knowing or having experience of the stressors of an NFL player that "seemingly" has everything going for him. I get that every facet of life has stressors or even those who are in dire depression. Maybe I'm just ignorant to how depression comes about because in my mind his lifestyle (that I assume but can't in anyway perceive) is not one that is nearly as typical as other who are clinically depressed.

Translation: I've seen a lot of dumb shit said on here. This doesn't even make the top 26.

Depression gives no fucks about a persons lifestyle. You hear about it all the time, famous/rich people suffering from it.

I hope that post wasn't directed toward me because my comment was essentially agreeing with your post. Depression is no joke.

No one on this thread thinks depression is a joke in any way.

It was a general comment. If you thought I was implying you thought is was funny or a joke, you misinterpreted my post.

No lifestyle is free of it for sure...but what athlete in their mid 20's with things "seemingly" on the right track have experienced deep depression? The only 1 I can think of in sports that is similar to this is that Sanders guy from the NBA (can't recall his first name)

I know. You'd have to really be looking for negative to find it in your posts about this on this thread.

I didn't necessarily take your initial comment the wrong way. I took it more as a "I don't know enough about depression to understand why someone who seems to 'have it all' could have it" versus a "dumbass, sack it up....rub some dirt on it and it will go away" type of thing.

Cardinals improve their defense trading for Chandler Jones but giving up Jonathan Cooper and a 2nd round pick in this years draft for a player would will be a free agent after 2016 seems like a lot.
