Being a QB, maybe.
I agree, I don't see him having much of a future. Most teams keep a 3rd on the practice squad from what I have looked at the last couple of seasons since he was drafted. Being a local kid that I coached in baseball I just am rooting for him ya know. He took some ribbing last weekend when he came back for a local softball tournament. He had his all white UA shoes he got with the deal. He was raking the field after a rain delay and would only do so from the grass and not the dirt.....so we all made fun of him not wanting to get his shoes dirty...but I digress!
Kid was a stud in baseball as well. Ran into a scout a few weeks ago who was looking at him out of HS and was very high on him. Matter of fact he said "I was looking at a guy from your school a few years ago who would be in the big leagues but he chose football instead".
Ah, nostalgia.
but to get back to the bengals....with their thinness at the WR corp I could see them keeping more than normal, including on the PS, to see what pans out.

Slow news time. MLB not quite in the pennant races, NFL a bit boring until opening game...gotta have some sort of news and an idiot like Kap doing what he did was just the recipe to start a shitstorm for the media to take up.

Teddy Bridgewater down at practice with knee injury. Sounds pretty bad. Damn that sucks.

Yeah, Twitter is blowing up.
Practice cancelled, media told to leave, players on on knee. Sounds very bad.

Reading what the other playres were saying/doing makes me believe it is pretty messed up. Sucks.

I saw a report that he was in an air cast? Makes it sound more like a Paul George injury than a knee.

Harbaugh bitched that there are too many preseason games, and there are, after the bad injury they had. This one was in practice, with no contact. Just shows it can happen any time. It sounds very significant, that he is sedated and going through tests/mri.
Now ya just hope he can return in 2017

Kind of what I was thinking too. Plus Zimmer pretty much already ruled him out for this season. Hope the Browns give them a call, we'll give you McCown + Shelton (or Gilbert) for Barr or Floyd.Mulva;1808983 wrote:I saw a report that he was in an air cast? I had no idea Shaun Hill has been around for 15 seasons. Commander you may be onto something in trading McCown to the Vikings. Broncos likely will release Sanchez but man he was bad this preseason.

This....I think the same thing.sleeper;1808770 wrote:I think he is doing this to prevent getting cut.
He's a trash QB making too much money and he came out like this so if he's cut he can say "I was cut for my beliefs by a racist organization". It's the classic case of pulling the race card.

I'm confused at the Bridgewater thing. It's being reported as a dislocated knee. On a non contact drill?

He's fucked. Could be Twitter and media overreaction, but sounds like it's a possible career-impact injury, not just season.

They said no nerve damage, at least.
