I've said it before, but the republicans are too fucking dumb to drop their stances on these "issues." All they do is give the media and liberals negative material to run with. The GOP doesn't need to go as far left as the dems are going with social issues, because at this point the dems are becoming regressive with how far left they want to go. However, going slightly left on social issues where they don't look like they are out of touch with reality would revive the party imo.
