Offensive line was awful, coaching was terrible, why Samuel doesn't get the ball more is dumbfounding, terrible missed PI call. This was the second straight week they played a night game in a tough environment against a team coming off a bye, but they cost themselves that game with the awful approach. Hopefully this sparks them for the rest of the year.

If they win out, they will be in. But THIS team, as it is right now, has zero chance of winning out.

Probably give OSU the #3 playoff spot

I lied about 3 team tiebreaker....here it is:
1. Records of three are compared (PSU out with 2 losses on the year)
The other 5 steps become moot with PSU being eliminated from the tiebreaker
Tiebreaker rules say that once a team is eliminated through a tiebreaker and it is down to two teams, you go to the head to head result. OSU takes the East.

My guess is we are ranked the spot right in front of Wisconsin since we beat them and they have two losses.

Full tiebreaker details for those interested
The following procedure will determine the representative from each division in the event of a tie:
(a) If two teams are tied, the winner of the game between the two tied teams shall be the representative.
(b) If three or more teams are tied, steps 1 through 6 will be followed until a determination is made. If only two teams remain tied after any step, the winner of the game between the two tied teams shall be the representative.
1. The records of the three tied teams will be compared against each other.
2. The records of the three tied teams will be compared within their division.
3. The records of the three teams will be compared against the next highest placed teams in their division in order of finish (4, 5, 6, and 7).
4. The records of the three teams will be compared against all common conference opponents.
5. The team with the best overall winning percentage [excluding exempted games] shall be the representative.
6. The representative will be chosen by random draw.

Listening to post game press conference. I know is the right thing to say "I'll have to look at the film" but 1 time I'd love to hear "well, the play calling and coaching sucked...and we got bullied on the line"

I don't care about the playoffs at this point. Fuck this team until next weekend. That was pathetic.

Urban's won 3 national championships, none of those teams went undefeated.
He'll regroup and get the O-line problems worked out.
I'm not worried. If they finish with 1 loss, with wins against 5 top 15 teams (Oklahoma, Wisconsin, Nebraska, Michigan, and Wisconsin/Nebraska), there's no way they are left out. Just have to work out their kinks.

Got a feeling you'll see a new RT next week. I've never seen someone as bad as Prince tonightSportsAndLady;1817922 wrote:Urban's won 3 national championships, none of those teams went undefeated.

Still so pissed Samuel only got 2 carries. Dude is by far the best offensive player and they were never just hell-bent on getting him the ball. Urban will get things fixed, but I'm going to be mad about that all week, haha.

And sometimes you have to go undefeated to have a chance. See last year. Losing to a far inferior team - and let's be honest, it was an 18 point spread for a reason - is not OK.SportsAndLady;1817922 wrote:Urban's won 3 national championships, none of those teams went undefeated.

If for some reason UM loses a game before OSU plays them, becomes a two team tiebreaker between PSU and OSU...
PSU gets the East title based on head to head

Felt just like Sparty last year. Between the weather and the shitty performance. Just an all-around bad job by everyone in scarlet and gray.

Michigan isn't losing before The Game. Their schedule is trash the rest of the way.

The offensive line just is not good. It has been smoke and mirrors hiding that fact with elite skill players.

Agreed on the offensive line. It's an absolute joke from the entire 2-deep 4/5* composed OL. Special teams lost the game though; I can't remember the last time OSU had a punt and a FG blocked in the same game. Probably hasn't happened in 50 years.Sonofanump;1817942 wrote:The offensive line just is not good. It has been smoke and mirrors hiding that fact with elite skill players.
This game is on the coaching. Urban should not have rushed out the kicker for a 50 yard FG attempt.
I'm not sure what the fix here is. Urban needs to get it figured out quick otherwise we won't do much this season.

Rushing that FG, imo, Is on Urban. No reason to rush that with time outs left. We get that field goal, Penn St has to score a touchdown to tie it. I would have trusted my defense at that point and called the TO.sleeper;1817944 wrote:Agreed on the offensive line. It's an absolute joke from the entire 2-deep 4/5* composed OL. The missed PI is bs too. How do you miss that? That was a terrible no call. Herbie had a lump in his throat when he saw the replay and Fowler, not sure if it was him announcing with Herbie, was trying to justify it as "letting them play."
Prince was god awful. You could have put a db in there and they would have blocked better than him. Not sure why the coaches did not give him some help.
Zach Smith needs to do something to fix the receiving corp or he can Go Fuck Himself. There should not be that much issues with timing this late in the season. Separation should be taught as well.
I know we are spoiled being Buckeye fans. It sucks when we lose a game we should have won. The Buckeyes will regroup and come back next week stronger than ever.

Agree with all points about the O-line and rushing the FG team out onto the field. This game should never have been close enough for the horrible officiating to make a difference.
