That's a joke. Not sure why everyone was so obsessed with Stanford this year. The talk of them getting in over osu if a spot opened up annoyed the shit out of me.

The schedule argument. All it means is that if you lost two games, you scheduled above your competence. I'd put them at 6 or 7.

They were ranked over you guys going into the bowl games and beat a team ranked higher than them by nearly double of what you guys did to a team ranked lower. From each teams bowl performances (and that only)what makes you think OSU should jump Stanford?

They shouldn't have gone in rated higher than tOSU.
They are allowed to watch the games.
If they watched the games, they would have seen that the domers were heads and tails better than Iowa.

In your opinion, should the pollsters not correct past mistakes?

Only in your mind dude. When SEC teams schedule they way they do with timing cupcakes late in the season coupled with their annual over-inflated pre-season rankings you will always believe that. The reality is, the SEC has been a 1 man horse like every other conference for the past decade. Auburn having a good run in 1 season is meaningless, look at Iowa this year for example.

OSU would blow out Stanford every year since the dawn of time. The fact that a 2 loss team, who is complete garbage, gets in over a team who's lost 4 games in 4 seasons is an absolutely joke.

Now, in reality, who cares? #3 or #4 is rather irrelevant. Alabama was lucky that OSU coaches decided to run JT more than Zeke against MSU because there's no way Alabama comes within 4 TDs of OSU this year.

Seriously this. If you watched the Fiesta bowl, it was a complete dressing down of a much better team than Iowa. The final score doesn't really tell the whole story of the game; imagine if Bosa didn't get some BS targeting penalty. Final score would have been 69-0 and OSU would probably have gotten a few #1 votes in the polls.

Why would they rank a Conference champion behind 2 non-conference champions from the same conference? If they had done what you are wanting with two SEC teams ahead of Ohio State, this board along with every OSU board would be in a major uproar.

No I don't think they should. Otherwise, just compare teams seasons to each other.

Yes, let's totally forget that one team won a conference championship and the other didn't and had to play 1 more conference game than the Big Ten. Let's also forget that's Stanford is on a 4 game winning streak while OSU is on a 2 game winning streak. These aren't conference/division standings.

All things equal though. Neither team lost. I would be saying the same thing if the rankings were reversed going into the Bowl game and the voters established, we DGAF about conference titles. Consistency.

Stanford beat ND too a few games ago. Does that help them? I still say them winning the Pac-12 puts them ahead of anyone who didn't win their respective conference championship.

Compared to the extra large can Ohio State opened on ND, I'd say no, that game didn't help their cause.

Not saying ND folded against OSU but they had a hell of a lot more to play for against Stanford than they did against OSU. A win against Stanford and they are likely in the final 4. A win against OSU does what for them for THIS season?

Then I guess they did. Do you not agree that a team would be more motivated in a game that should they win they more than likely go to the playoff, over a bowl game that does nothing for their title hopes of the current season?

No one is forgetting those things they just aren't good arguments. "They've two more games in a row and they won their awful conference!" Doesn't really do much for me. But maybe that's just me.

Having 1 less loss, having a loss to a team in the playoffs, and Stanford losing to northwestern is a much better argument for osu being ahead of Stanford.
