I thought trading away pitching prospects Pomeranz and White was a horrible deal for Ubaldo. The prospects haven't done shit around the league, but Ubaldo was garbage for all but one month, so I would call that one a wash.

It wasn't very popular whenever I said the Cavs were making a huge mistake in bringing in an over the hill, washed up Antawn Jamison during the Cavs playoff chase. Jamison was even worse than what I dreamed he would be and absolutely ruined the team chemistry along the way.

Then there was Pettine's first training camp when I said that Dion Lewis was the Browns best running back and everyone did their knee slapping when he was cut in favor of Tate, West, and Crowell. The same Dion Lewis that was averaging 4.8 ypc for the world champs this year and probably leading the league for running backs catching the ball. Who got the last laugh?

And then there is Johnny. It's pretty damn obvious to anyone with even half a brain that this kid is really special.

Fair enough. Tune in Sunday and you and I will both find out, won't we? Manziel had no problem in evading Alabama's number one ranked defense in Tuscaloosa...I think he will do just fine. He'll do a lot better than the lead footed Austin Davis and Josh McCown, that's for sure.

Not going to help one bit that Hartline is done. Johnny is going to need help around him, that's for sure.

Again, comparing a college to the pro's.

Manziel is athletic but you're overestimating his athleticism. He's not as fast/elusive as you think.

Seattle has 32 sacks and 21.5 of those are split between their three pass rush specialists.

Again, a) the Browns O-Line won't be blocking a Niners pass "rush" that is playing out the string while the Hawks' are on a playoff push and b) Manziel isn't nearly as athletic at the pro level (translating college athletes speed vs pro athletes speed) as he was against defenses in college where over half the opposing roster didn't sniff an NFL field when their collegiate days ended.

I can tell you how I think this will play out.

The Browns defense will go back to their bumbling selves as the Seahawks feed off their crowd. Seattle will go up a couple of scores, forcing the Browns to abandon any early game plan (perhaps trying to continue to establish Crowell after last week) they had in place. Manziel will be forced to throw more than anticipated. Seattle's front four will pin their ears back, causing havoc for the young QB, who will be running for his life most of the afternoon.

For your sake, and those who have stock in Kleenex, you'd better hope Manziel doesn't leave the field on a cart.

Johnny played better last week. His poor decision making and weak arm showed up on his interception. Hopefully the decision making improves. The arm strength is always going to be an issue with him.
