Comparing Ohio State to a MAC team? You are dumb.slingshot4ever;1768340 wrote:so an undefeated MAC team would be better than a 1 loss OSU...got it...you are dumb

Argument was that fewer losses was better, I was simply refuting that as I do not agree. Is that hard for you to understand? Stanford had a better resume than OSU (stronger SOS, better wins, no bad losses). Not sure why anyone was shocked they jumped us after winning their conference.

Now Notre Dame isn't legit? Just shut the fuck up. If Notre Dame isn't legit, then surely OSU win against UM (our best win) isn't worth a shit.....And guess what, next best win was probably NIU or PSU....while Stanford's is beating USC twicesuperman;1768358 wrote:Because comparing two power 5 conferences is the same as comparing a power 5 team to a MAC team. Fucking retard.
Stanford played one legit team and got beat by double digits.
Again, not even close in terms of total resume

Just for fun I looked at the record of the teams OSU and Stanford beat
Stanford
0 wins - 1
2 wins - 1
4 wins - 1
6 wins - 2
7 wins - 1
8 wins - 4
10 wins - 1
OSU
3 wins - 2
4 wins - 1
5 wins - 2
6 wins - 2
7 wins - 2
8 wins - 1
9 wins - 1
Stanford beat 5 teams with 6 wins or less. OSU beat 7 teams with 6 wins or less. Stanford beat 6 teams with 7 wins or more. OSU beat 4 teams with 7 wins or more. I think it's fair to say Stanford had more quality wins.
But IMHO OSU is the better team and I would have them ranked higher than Stanford. It seems clear to me that the committee puts a lot of weight on conference championships and if anyone thought OSU was going to be able to slip in without playing in the B1G title game they were probably mistaken. They pretty much dominated UM and dropped behind a pac 12 conference champ. I have no problem with that logic and it doesn't really matter as neither of them made the playoff.

I want nothing more for MSU to win it all. I would love to hear how the national media would spin the Big 10 as a weak conference as they win the second National Title. I am a huge Buckeye honk but we created this mess now it is up to MSU to pull the conference through.

All I care about is Alabama losing. Outside of that, I don't care who wins really, but if I had to order it: MSU, OU, Clemson, Bob Dole, Alabama. Some parts of the media have already started saying how crappy the SEC has become, and that we've all "bought in to the hype." As long as the other 3 conferences can keep the SEC from winning it all, then that will snowball further. I'm just hoping Sparty takes care of Bama, as that will only further the separation from the hyped up SEC from the "laughing stock" B1G.rrfan;1768381 wrote:I want nothing more for MSU to win it all. I'm rooting for MSU because it's time for someone else to make the B1G look good besides Ohio State. Take out Ohio State from the B1G and the B1G is the worst conference in the last 20 years; with Ohio State they are likely at worst the 2nd best conference(this year however, by far the best conference).ernest_t_bass;1768384 wrote:All I care about is Alabama losing. While I agree, I want Alabama to lose more than I want any one particular team to win. While I would like to see the B1G win more than any other conference, I'm rooting more-so for the SEC to die in the dumpster fire that they are.sleeper;1768405 wrote:I'm rooting for MSU because it's time for someone else to make the B1G look good besides Ohio State.
