Do they have to take the highest ranked team or do they get the first pick of the remaining teams? Why is this so hard for people to understand?...the Bowl wants the best marquis teams to play and that means "highest" ranked NOT where you finished in a conference. Every non-playoff bowl will be scratching to land OSU which everyone knows "talent wise" should be in the playoffs. It would not shock me if a 1 loss Iowa or a 2 loss msu would be ranked above osu at the end of the year.
