I would actively seek out which classes that professor teaches and take them. Truly an intelligent man and a role model.

As far as the trash in the video, it's Yale. My opinions of Ivy league schools continues to be validated.

Have you paid attention to waht is going on at the U Of Missouri? Basically it was a rally or whatever you want to call it for that. And the kids didn't want to be video taped by the school journalist.

I know about mizzou, but not sure I'd understand not wanting to be on video. Seems that would be a good way to have your voice heard.

The Yale video pretty much sums up the problem.
Prof: Who gets to decide what is offensive?
SJW: If it hurts me its offensive.

My feeling are hurt, I need my safe place, my rights and freedom of speech is more important than yours.... We now seen a new society of self - centered individual created by the progressive far left. Clueless of the real world that surrounds then, everything is blameable ..with the exception of them.
College was a place of creativity, sharing of ideas, controversial opinion explored and the expression of free speech voiced on both sides and in the middle. What we have now is tell me what I should know as long as it fits my needs, benefits me and is what I want the hear because I don't want to know anything different, I know it all I'm educated. ... Bingo!

But society has spent decades catering to the individual not only in commercial efforts but also philosophical means. And now we are reaping what has been sown.

Cliff notes?

I made it 30 seconds for each. Didn't want to get pissed off this early.

One day, maybe not in my lifetime, but one day my children, or my childrens children will finally say enough to this kind of thinking! Unfortunately I believe it is going to take a major catastrophe, famine, war or something else to change this mindset of ME only, whatever hurts me is bad, but I can make rules that hurt you and that is OK? lol

It'll never change. The world is becoming one big victimization cesspool where the hierarchy is determined by who can claim the most hurt feelz. It's the new reality.

Watch the Mizzou video. Students push and block a journalism student freelancing for ESPN from taking pictures of the protests. The worst part is a Professor is leading the students and when he wouldn't stop taking pictures she asks for muscle to remove him. The professor even puts her had son the student.

The problem with kids is people like this educate this.

Bonus Fun Fact.... She's a mass media professor

Yeah, read that on NBC news earlier. Funny they whine about unfairness while ignoring the first amendment. It'd blow to go to that university right now.

Even when reminded of the 1st amendment in both of these videos, the "protesters" STILL didn't get it. Belly is spot on calling out the progressive left because it is obvious that these protesters believe that political correctness trumps the Constitution. This has nothing to do with "baby boomers" as some suggested...in fact, it is the older "baby boomer" prof in the Yale video that is sticking up for the 1st amendment., and the Gen X or Y prof in the second video that's bullying the photo journalist.

Moreso, it is not fair to call out the entire generation of "kids today", because there are a lot of young people (like the student photojournalist) that do get it. It really is a matter of education and values....and that comes from parenting (or lack of it) and what children are taught by their educators as well as what they are exposed to in the media. It is not a generational issue as much as it is a values/education issue.

I agree with this and was going to post something similar as far as your first paragraph. The ones with the college age kids are more likely going to be Gen Xer's (which I'm one of) and not Boomers.

The Greatest Generation! (at deflecting all responsibility for any real or perceived failings of future generations from them to anything else, including vaguely defined entities).
