Tickets finally cheap enough for you to go?Footwedge;1764088 wrote:The stadium would have resembled a ghost town on Monday night football had Manziel not been named the starter. Many people like me will be going to the next 3 games. Wouldn't surprise me one bit if the Browns win all 3.

Just amazing to me at all the people on this board that were dead wrong on Manziel. Did anyone find Sleeper's body yet?

Dead wrong after ONE good game? Such a moron. What will your excuses be when he crashes & burns, coming back down to Earth?Footwedge;1764124 wrote: Just amazing to me at all the people on this board that were dead wrong on Manziel.

Not hard to bash anyone on a 2-8 team, actually.Footwedge;1764124 wrote:Really bad week to be a Johnny basher ain't it? Butt Munch Bishop on his show last night.."Johnny did OK." Did OK? Can't make this shit up folks. Bashers gonna bash.

Yeah, I'm with those who say this is a troll act. Nobody could be this dumb/delusional.

Must have been one of those gods from a religion where they aren't all-knowing and shit, considering the two turnovers and all.Footwedge;1764128 wrote:The quarterback played like God on Sunday...Channel your energy to the people responsible for the clusterfuck.
Or since you look at QB rating as your one-size-fits-all stat, the god who was nearly 30 points inferior to his opponent.

I'd compare him to Iggy in a way.BR1986FB;1764129 wrote:Yeah, I'm with those who say this is a troll act. Nobody could be this dumb/delusional.
Iggy spent a few years being a pretty generic guy here (at least I can't remember anything specific he posted for a long time) and suddenly turned into an over-the-top drama queen pessimist. Easy to see him starting out as being a more pessimistic than the norm fan who got called out a few times on that and decided to turn it into an act.
FW usually has been a bit blustery, with questionable math skills and a disregard for advanced stats. But now, he's kind of a caricature of that to where he goes as far over-the-top with Johnny-praise as Iggy does with his doom-and-gloom. To the point where virtually nothing that happens is ever his fault and everyone else on the team (coaches, all-pro players, the rest of the bunch) is to blame for anything that goes wrong.
Sort of a case where a person with an opinion/viewpoint different from the norm decided to say "FUCK IT!", turn that differing opinion/viewpoint into a persona and go all-in as over-the-top as humanly possible.

I'm getting the impression that Pettine might have been given more than a "nudge" by the front office to start Manziel for the rest of the year.

I also am getting this sickening feeling that Ray Farmer is going to be back next year. If Manziel shits the bed, I do NOT want Farmer selecting the QB with the #1 overall pick. But knowing Farmer, he'll take a cornerback.HighRoller74;1764205 wrote:Probably a "do it and you'll last the season, don't and you'll be let go now"

For the older folks, Farmer reminds me of the Kevin Bacon character in Animal House when all Hell breaks loose at the end of the movie...."all is well....all is well !!!"Al Bundy;1764210 wrote:He wouldn't be tempted to take 12 gauge #1

Not a troll act at all. What sets me off is the blatant disregard people like you have for a guy who is really talented. You people have clamored for a franchise quarterback for decades...and now that you have one, you root your ass off for him to fail. You and your ilk are a sorry, sorry bunch indeed. Manziel is gonna shove it up your ass sideways and you're not going to like it. Fuck the fan base...for they are as dumb as a plié of rocks.BR1986FB;1764129 wrote:Yeah, I'm with those who say this is a troll act. Nobody could be this dumb/delusional.
OIC do have such a collection of numbskulls.
Like I told Al Bunghole...you better get used to Manziel...because he is your quarterback here for a long, long time. If the supporting cast ever comes into place, it will be little Johnny football hoisting the Lombardi Trophy. Deal with it FB.

What part of "we want to see what Johnny has to offer for the rest of the season to see what the Browns have in him" that EVERYBODY has been saying do you not understand?Footwedge;1764213 wrote:Not a troll act at all. Unlike you (pretty much the ONLY one on here) we haven't relinquished Peyton Manning's career passing yards record to JFF after FIVE games.
We all want to see what he can do, and I'm sure MANY hope he DOES succeed so a) they don't have to burn another 1st on a QB and b) they don't have to have that moron Farmer selecting said QB but to "crown" him, as you have, after FIVE games is ridiculous and delusional.

Not talked about much in this discussion is that statistically, there's a coin flip chance that the stating quarterback would disappear for several weeks during a season for his alcohol issue. I hope he gets and keeps his shit together, but it has to be something those in charge consider.

I don't think there is really any chance, maybe like 5%. His signings and draft picks speak for themselves.BR1986FB;1764207 wrote:I also am getting this sickening feeling that Ray Farmer is going to be back next year.

I'm sure the front office is hoping he either balls out, so they may have something going forward, or crashes & burns so they know they need to draft a QB. What's most likely to happen, in typical Cleveland fashion, is that he will play somewhere in the middle and the front office will be like a deer in headlights trying to figure out what to do.queencitybuckeye;1764238 wrote:Not talked about much in this discussion is that statistically, there's a coin flip chance that the stating quarterback would disappear for several weeks during a season for his alcohol issue. BR, Ray farmer is gone. You can get rid of any of those weird feelings you have about him returning. Too many swing and misses. Too much bullshit with he and Pettine and Haslam.
