Mccown has been great so far. Would be nice to get the run game and defense going. Could make a nice run

Yes, good point.

SFB's, I was the only consistant one here saying McCown was an upgrade over Hoyer. It was people like you and fatboy that wanted to take issue with that. Also, nobody here can argue that Manziel wouldn't be putting up similar numbers...or better numbers than McCown. I've also been one of the few that has repeatedly said that our receivers are in fact play makers. It appears that this o-coordinator understnds the importance of throwing the ball...and throwing it deep. Manziel would be lighting it up too.

McCown made some incredible throws today and none better than the corner rout for the two point conversion. Yeah the receiver was wide open but McCown took his time, found him and hit him. Without that play, Browns lose.

Cueball almost cost them the game because once again, he has no clue regarding time management and the use of time outs. There was absolutely no excuse in not using a timeout when Baltimore let the clock run down from 105 to 30 seconds in regulation. He truly is an idiot when it comes to that. The glaring mistake came to reality whenever regulation ended with the Browns on the Ravens 33 with a time out in their pocket.

Sure they can. Manziel would NEVER put up passing numbers like McCown did today. Only you, in one of your delusional wet dreams, envisions Manziel putting up 400+ yards passing in a game. I'll be surprised if we see him put up many games North of 300 yards passing.

If he throws the ball that many times he most certainly could. Remember, Manziel is more mobile and more accurate than McCown. Has a stronger arm too. With that said, Pettine is such a screwball, he wouldn't let Johnny throw it 20 times let alone 50.

It's just not fair when they give the Ravens that 75 second play clock. I know math isn't your thing, but 1 minute, 5 seconds would be 65 seconds and not 105.

Hopefully as a result of this game, the Browns cut Manziel. He's the worst QB in the league and McCown is playing well.

If he throws the ball that many times his sore arm would fall off, and he would have upwards of ten turnovers. I dont know why anyone would consider Manzier to have a strong arm. his arm strength is average at best.

Oddly enough, the last time the Browns beat Baltimore in 2007, in Baltimore, the final score was also 33-30, also in OT.

At least this should put the JFF QB controversy to bed...for a while. McCown put up some gaudy numbers , albeit against some pretty mediocte teams....Denver is going to be a test.
It's all on the defense now.

You haven't got a clue. Speaking of clueless, Dustin Fox was railing today on the Fanan regarding the utter stupidity of Pettine in not using his TO's in the last minute of regulation and rightfully so. How incompetent does one have to be?

Now I'll wait LHSHemp to chime in with some made up shit about winning percentages when the coach doesn't call his time outs when he should.

And then there is asshole of the month, Joe Thomas when asked bout McCown's performance. "Put in Johnny" was the first words out of his mouth. The most over rated o lineman in football trying to polarize the team. What an ass.

Whether you like it or not, JT, Johnny's gonna be playing here as the franchise quarterback sooner or later. Hopefully your sorry ass will be out of town by then.

It wouldn't be the first time a coach has mismanaged the clock, but in reality, he cost his team the chance to win the game in regulation. Fortunately, they WON in overtime.....a lot of people would have really been ticked if they had lost.

How often does your brain start to hurt when undertaking basic mathematical computations? I'm guessing a lot, since you have sooo much trouble with numbers.

I doubt Johnny will ever be a franchise qb. If he does, it will take a long a time. He has a very limited skill set, and even worse is that he is not very smart. Bradshaw is an example of someone who took a long time to develop due to being a slow learner, but Bradshaw had much better physical tools than Johnny, and Bradshaw looks like a Rhodes Scholar compared to Johnny.

Did anyone else notice that when driving in the last 3 minutes, McCown was snapping the ball with 17 or more seconds on the play clock? Gave the turds way too much time to come back. I don't get why they didn't milk the clock down.

Probably didn't trust his coach to manage the clock properly.

I also noticed how McCown threw 450 yards at a 70% completion rate with 2 TDs and no INTs on a way to a clutch OT win on the road.
