I drink coffee with stevia or Diet Cherry Coke Zero/Diet Dr Pepper (periodically) during the fasting period.
If you haven't made one of Martin Berkhan's cheesecakes you're really missing something. I've broken a fast eating one of those things. 1200 calories with 120+ G's of protein and <10g's of fat.
I've heard those cheesecakes are the bomb. I've made one before, but not as elaborate as his. I actually just downloaded the Part 1 recipe PDF yesterday. I'm going to try the "turkey muffins" tonight.
So you're only doing 2 meals/day? I'm at 3. I can only lift at night, around 6:30-7 so I have to break the fast before working out during the week.
It was difficult at first, but after some tweaking I think I've gotten the routine down. I eat from 2pm-10pm. Aim for 1500-1700 calories total throughout the day, and my weight in protein grams, around 180ish. So far I love it. I've maintained my current weight, which is what I aimed for, while shedding some fat. My workout isn't even where I'd like it to be. Due to injury I couldn't really push myself like I wanted to or even do some primary lifts such as bench and press....which really sucked. After a year I'm finally making strides and getting back to where I was before the surgery.
Now I'm considering focusing more on my macros, such as weighing food and just being more strict overall. Have you checked rippedbody.jp? They have a nice breakdown regarding diet/macros.
Anyway, nice to know someone else does it. It's been a completely new thing to me. I've always been about the high cardio, small meals plan to shed fat, but since starting intermittent fasting w/ LG I've become a firm believer.
