Sounds like alot of white flour there. :)

My father is being forced to be a 5 day a week vegan by his doctor for health reasons. My mom for health reasons needs to get 70g of protein a day. It's like Jack Sprat and his wife over there. They eat a ton of Edamame and she eats alot of greek yogart for lunch.

Completely agree (except for the noodles/Hamburger Helper). I may be an animal lover but I was also once a hunter.

From the recent studies I've seen, all of these people shunning the (good) red meat and fats for low/no fat and higher carbs are going about it the wrong way. It seems that our bodies weren't supposed to adapt to all of the "man made" (processed) foods out there that have come about since the industrial revolution.

I just keep my meals simple now. Grass fed/natural meats cooked in an Omega 3 rich fat with fresh vegetables (no corn) and no grains/starches/flours. Occasionally I'll eat some berries, almonds & macadamias. Tomorrow I'll be trying Mark Sisson's coconut "pancake" recipe with blackberry topping.

Don't get me wrong, I love me some Lucky Charms, pizza, etc but if I eat them now my body goes into sugar shock and I feel like someone shit in my mouth. The sugary stuff tastes so good going down but when I'm done I feel like a person feels after an all night drinking binge. A "cheat" for me now is a few 72-75% dark chocolate squares.

As far as your parents go, they might want to check into gluten sensitivity. No doctor is going to say anything about that because they think that paleo is hogwash. You should look at Robb Wolf's book "The Paleo Solution" and all of the crap he went through. He was a vegan (particially because he wanted to do the "right" thing and partially because he was looking to get laid by, as he says, "hot hippie chicks") until he heard about gluten sensitivity. Sounded like he was closed to death until he started eating paleo.

Even eating hamburgers, fries, sushi, Cinnamon Toast Crunch, subs, drinking beer, etc I am still seeing results. Sure, the results aren't coming as quickly as they could but I'm also not trying to win some sort of contest. The day these foods start to taste like someone shit in my mouth is the day I crawl in a hole and die. :)

Haha...the only reason that my body is reacting to them that way is because I no longer eat them. The insulin spike is what makes me feel like shit.

I have no problem with taste, if I am eating really good for an extended period of time then have white flour it feels like a gut bomb in my stomach.

Gluten sensitivity. Your body feels like it's being attacked when you introduce a substance that is foreign to it.

I am looking forward to it myself. Need to complete the last 4 minutes of regular pure cardio.

1.03 mile swim, 17 mile bike, 2 mile run done. A lot more energy the last two weeks from this program.

Tomorrow is an off day for me. Fit test Sunday morning.

Was told my Power Block kettlebell arrived today and I just placed an order for my Vibram FiveFingers too. They are the exact same model/color as the FF's posted two pages back.

I look forward to the Insanity workouts

You guys doing Insanity will also notice an uptick in your pushup numbers if you do P90X Chest & Back after a round of Insanity. It seems like you're doing some kind of pushup movement in every Insanity workout.

So, I'm pretty jacked. "Unofficial" weigh in (official will be next Saturday) and I'm down about 10 lbs & 3% bodyfat in less than 2 weeks. I attribute this to paleo nutrition because my workouts haven't changed much. If anything, I'm working out LESS time but MORE intense & heavier.

Just got done eating some of Mark Sisson's coconut pancakes (recipe) that I whipped up topped with blackberries. Mmmm, mmmm...

EDIT: Burned 748 calories doing 46 minutes of "Crossfit type chest/back w/ ARX"

The chest & back workout is a 30 minute timed workout in which I do max rep pushups with a 60lb weighted vest to 30-45 second 2nd level drill (from standing position down to plank, 4 pushup to 8 sprint in place while in plank beck to "up" position, repeat until time's up), to 30 second rest to max rep 20 lb weighted vest pullups to 30-45 second jump rope in place (no rope) to 30 second rest to 20 lb weighted vest dips for max reps to level 2 drill (standing to plank, pull knees in jump straight up, repeat until time's up) to heavy reverse grip bent barbell rows to 30-45 second all out sprint in place, 30 second rest, repeat cycle 2 more times withing 30 minutes.

After this I do the P90X Ab Ripper X dvd to shred up the abs.

So far, I'm pretty impressed with this. I'm getting as good, if not better, calorie burn from this Crossfit type workout than with P90X and avoiding the concentrated moves (curls, presses, kickbacks, etc) has done a world of good for my joints.

Timex T5G971 $46 Amazon. The cards have a quarter a piece on them. I had the one laying around and could not find a visa one for that amount so I figured everyone goes to Walmart. Thanks again.

She's annoying but I think the dark haired chick who was the aerobics instructor makes stranger faces. At the end of the one workout (believe it's Plyo Cardio) where they are doing all of the hand movements, punches, uppercuts, cross jacks, etc she looks like she's struggling to drop a deuce or something.
