Completely agree (except for the noodles/Hamburger Helper). I may be an animal lover but I was also once a hunter.
From the recent studies I've seen, all of these people shunning the (good) red meat and fats for low/no fat and higher carbs are going about it the wrong way. It seems that our bodies weren't supposed to adapt to all of the "man made" (processed) foods out there that have come about since the industrial revolution.
I just keep my meals simple now. Grass fed/natural meats cooked in an Omega 3 rich fat with fresh vegetables (no corn) and no grains/starches/flours. Occasionally I'll eat some berries, almonds & macadamias. Tomorrow I'll be trying Mark Sisson's coconut "pancake" recipe with blackberry topping.
Don't get me wrong, I love me some Lucky Charms, pizza, etc but if I eat them now my body goes into sugar shock and I feel like someone shit in my mouth. The sugary stuff tastes so good going down but when I'm done I feel like a person feels after an all night drinking binge. A "cheat" for me now is a few 72-75% dark chocolate squares.
