You can supposedly raise the Omega 3's in the store bought, processed stuff by cooking them in things like coconut oil, pastured butter, ghee & lard. With all of the hormones and stuff they are putting in them, plus what they feed them, I'd be surprised if that's true.

edit: could this be what you meant? "Grass fed" vs "grass finished?"

Yes that is what I was refering to. So I wonder how many grass finished products are in the grocery store vs grass fed, and how much cheaper they are since they offer supposidly the same benifits. For now I will stick to my free grain finished hamburg and steak and occasional 95 5 store bought. Free vs $30 for 1 steak is too big a difference.

I doubt many. Most of them are probably just grain or corn fed.

Our 1/4 cow ends up being about $3.50 a pound for everything including butchering and packaging. Great price considering the quaility.

First attempt at Insanity Pure Cardio. Where’s the fucking break Shaun T? Well, he whopped my ass and I had to take the following breaks (I don’t feel too bad when those who have completed and are actually in the video walk off): ½ Pedal (like an intense Mary Katherine), skipped all of level 2 pushups, skipped ½ power knees and ½ mnt climbers, skipped all of suicide jacks and did half of the pushup jacks. So I missed a total of 4 minutes. Will do yoga, insanity recovery and pilates tomorrow.

Watch those 1/2 pedals. I popped a hammy doing those and was laid up for 2 weeks.

Getting ready to do Insanity recovery. I'm glad today is low intensity after hitting up the sushi buffet for lunch. :|

I know. I don't really care, though. Eating it once in a while isn't going to kill me.

It's his "cheat" food duh. Also that little short bio of him spells out gay.

In another related note. Tony Horton (p90x) was on Jim Rome during the summer. And jim rome asked him what does a cheat day consist of for Tony Horton. Tony responded by saying he doesn't do that. Jim Rome started to probe him more, and tony horton finally confessed "alright maybe I will have a piece of non dairy cheesecake."

Horton is also a supposed vegetarian. I heard Rome talk about this and it was some kind of vegan cheesecake. Can't build muscle, consistently, eating like that.

Must get his protein from nuts and soy.

That still isn't going to build mass over time. He's lean as Hell and it's obvious that testosterone production will increase over time (with his age), but being vegan/vegetarian is no way to build muscle.

I don't know how anyone can be a vegan/vegetarian. I love steak....so much. Beef and noodles, pot roast, hamburgers, Hamburger Helper (seriously) are all in my top 10 favorite foods.

Agreed and I meant testosterone levels will DECREASE, not increase, over time with age.
