Plyo is easy, it's only 30 seconds, anyone can do that.

I started up the Bas Rutten workout again. I can't kick with my right leg yet (ankle still hurts from spraining it) but I'm okay to put weight on it.

For those of you familiar with my story, I started my first round of P90X back in 12/08 and was on a roll for two rounds and was 3 weeks into my 3rd round when I had a setback (left bicep injury). After subsequent attempts to do a 3rd round (along with setbacks to the bicep) I finally got back on track and am starting my 9th week tomorrow.

To make a long story short, I think I may have had some kind of minor tear in my bicep from the pullups and it healed on it's own. The reason I say this is that I hit a front double bicep pose in the mirror last night and my left bicep has flattened out. It was never like this before. The peak is gone. Now I know this wouldn't be a full blown tear because the bicep would have rolled up and I'd probably be praying for my kidney stones to return so I'd be in less pain. LOL

Do you notice inability to perform curls on the left side? I have stopped doing pull ups for this reason, I'd rather hit he lawnmowers and heavy pants to keep toned.

I have to keep my left bicep pinned to my side but I'm still able to use 60's & 70's for the alternating dumbbell curls. When the injury first happened around this time last year I had to drop significant weight.

Chest & back was outstanding. Increased reps in all pushup & pullup exercises including 7 more standard pushups and 9 more wide grip pullups than the last time I did this workout in week 3. Elbow was pain free on the pushups so I'm thinking it has something to do with the "double jeopardy" on the joint when I do both chest & tris in the CST workout.

Updated measurements after week 8 are 18 lbs lost and down 6% bodyfat.

As it stands, barring setbacks, the weighted vest WILL return for the P90X/Insanity hybrid workouts.

Plyo Cardio is done! 691 calories burned. I figure about 2 more times through this workout and I should be able to do it without breaks. I was break free until I got to the parts with all of the drop down into plank and then get back up movements.

Start week 9 tomorrow. My knees are pretty beat up from adding the Insanity dvd's.

The new P90X, which will be called P90X:MC2 (Muscle Confusion 2....originally thought to be dubbed P90neXt), should be released in late 2011. Tony has some new P90X One on One's that he will be selling as "tests" for new guinea pigs to the program.

Listening to Mike & Mike on a regular basis on my daily drive in, it sounds like Golic has made quite a dent in his girth with this program. I guess he had Adam Sandler, Chris Rock and some of the other cast members from "Grown Up's" in studio and their comments were "where did he go, he's half the size."

EDIT: Just saw the preview for the One on One's....ri-frickin-diculous. Dude is doing pushups off of THREE small exercise balls lined up about 18 inches apart. He does a pushup off two, goes airborne, his right hand lands on the middle ball (going right to left) and his left hand lands on the 3rd ball as he does another pushup.

I took a nice run today and was feeling good so instead of waiting to do my Bas Rutten workout I did it right as I got back from my run. Bad idea. Heat + intense workout + already tired = almost passing out afterwords. Then I went and played 18 holes. /cool story

It wasn't the lack of breathing. It was probably that I was already dehydrated after my run and only took a small drink of water before starting the Bas Rutten workout. Then I sweated a bunch more in the heat.

I did shoot a 73 though. So that was nice.

I finally completed round 3 over a week ago losing 26 lbs.

Started the P90X/Insanity hybrid and just completed week 1. The weighted vest has returned. Insanity...."that shit is bananas, yo." The Insanity workouts are so intense from the jumping that my feet are regularly numb for extended periods during and after the workout. I have burned as much as 1000 calories in a 40 minute workout and have yet to do the "Max" workouts from the second 30 days. P90X Plyo is like taking a nap compared to the Insanity workouts. A lot of people won't even be able to make it through the initial Insanity warmup.

There have been times where my heart rate has eclipsed 180 and I've felt like a heart attack/stroke was coming in my 110+ degree garage. Insanity is NOT for everyone but in a weeks time I have seen real nice changes in my body composition.

Finished week 2 of my P90X/Insanity hybrid and I'm REALLY loving this workout combination. Dropped another 5 lbs so I'm down 32 total since restarting P90X.

What does this look like. Are you subbing insanity for plyo and kenpo?
