Hopefully, the Bucks can hang on to Henderson, James, and Floyd.

We also need to nail down Anderson, Bryant, and Hankins.

Anderson could contend for a safety spot right away, both Hankins and Floyd would be in the D-Line rotation, and Henderson could end up at LT from day one.

IMO, we lose James to ND and get the rest. That might be thinking too wishfully though.

You misspelled liar.

I feel a bit sorry for the recruits who are being bamboozled by Urban and Florida coaches.

Oh well, life in the SEC...

Perhaps Ohio State should just get better at recruiting southern style? It's rather ummm dumb to think you can go into the south and play by a totally different set of rules and expect to get good results?

Huge pickup for OSU.

I was afraid that Hankins may choose UM and Floyd to UF by surprise leaves OSU scrambling to find DT depth.

Hankins will get in the workout program and be a nice fit on the DL.

Does the Hankins commitment have any effect on Floyd? Floyd is obviously a stud, so I'm sure he isn't worried about playing time, but did the OSU staff need Hankins because they think Floyd is going elsewhere?

Hate to hear that. Really thought he would end being a good player at OSU. Does that mean the Buckeyes still have 5 open schollies for this year's class?

I watched both Anderson and Bryant a few times this season, and their athletic ability is plain crazy. Both of these young men have tremendous talent and huge upside as FOOTBALL PLAYERS. I can only hope that these two do not go the same route as Small and Rose did. Hopefully, they are prepared for the academic side of the house.

It seems that with the Glenville pipeline you either hit a home run (Smith/Ginn) or a weak grounder to second (Lennix, Small, Rose).

Hankins is a great pickup for OSU.

I think he is going to be a good one for the Buckeyes.

My nephew is 6'2" 320 # with a 4.0 GPA. He's a JR and from what I've heard he's a beast on the O-Line, and plays D-Line where he's not as good, but still hard to account for. No offers from anyone, size isn't everything.
You don't see 6-2 320 O-linemen at the top programs. WAY too short for 320. Middle guard in a 3-4 is possible with a quick first step and a non-stop motor

Name a school north of The Mason Dixon Line that does a better job at recruiting the deep south than Ohio State. They get more of the left overs than anyone.

Yeah, if your nephew was 6'4" the offers would be coming in.... 6'2" is a little short, and, unless he can run, @ 320 would probably be relegated to OT

Darby I agree with you on the size, but just looking at someone measureables doesn't tell the whole story. The guys nephew might be a fat slob that can't move.

he's not a fat slob, he works out regularly, but he can't move good and is just starting to get used to his body. like he is wicked clumsy. I'm just saying he could be a DT at 320 (albeit slow) for some Division 1 or 2 school, not necessarily a big time program. But he's got excellent grades (scored a 1590 on the SAT, hasn't taken the ACT yet, but he's only a JR) so I thought someone would be giving him a look. I don't think his coaches are doing any work on that front, and I know his mother (my sister) isn't. I just don't want him to be in debt up to his ass like me for college when he has a legitimate shot to get some sort of athletic help.

Looks like Anderson will be headed to WVU with a soft verbal this Saturday. He is having academic trouble and probably wouldn't make it at OSU from what I hear.

OSU is moving up quickly on Brad Roby at 6'0-6'1 175 4.4 CB. He is visiting this weekend and most won't be surprised if he commits to the Buckeyes.

So let me see if I have all this straight...

Anderson is most likely committing to WVU and that could be because he won't qualify academically at OSU.

Floyd is down to OSU and Florida. There seems to be a lot of chatter about him going to UF at the moment. He'll announce on Saturday at the AAA game.

Henderson isn't going to decide yet, but it's probably between OSU, USC, and maybe even UF.

Hicks is probably going to Texas, but Florida has a shot, and OSU is a long shot.

Bryant is probably coming to OSU. Is he announcing at the AAA game also?

Roby and Matt James may also have interest in OSU.

I'm gonna be pretty upset if the Buckeyes lose Floyd to the Gators. It would be nice to finish with Floyd, Henderson, Bryant, and maybe one other player.

Anderson is supposedly going to announce WVU this Saturday but it will be a soft commit. Many believe his grades are still an issue to get the scholly.

Floyd is down to OSU and Florida. Toss up, people think Florida and rumors of just throwing smoke to create a surprise on Saturday.

Henderson is down to OSU and USC, no Florida even though they still may be mentioned. He is taking a free visit to Miami which will be his last one. OSU is supposedly in the lead.

Hicks is Texas, Florida, then OSU but who knows.

Bryant is a solid OSU but won't announce until his final visit around Jan 25th.

Roby is visiting OSU this weekend and many wouldn't be surprised to see him switch to OSU.

James has OSU #1 with all the changes going on at ND and UF, basically dropping UC from contention. OSU is the only team without question marks.

Losing Floyd will hurt but just be thankful we got Hankins. Losing out on both would be a huge blow.

Thanks, devil1197.

Hopefully things go well on Saturday with Floyd. I've read that he has been trying to recruit Henderson to OSU with him, but then I've also heard that Gator insiders say he is definitely going to Florida. Like you said, it looks like he's building a lot of anticipation for his announcement.
