Isiah Thomas is having a good year. Better than Kyrie Irving. That's why he's picked for all star game over him. I've seen this argument thrown around through out the years of all star voting in all sports. Some approach the all star game as a reward to players who had a great 2nd half of the season from the previous. Using this argument, I could easily see the argument for Kyrie over Thomas.

I'd prefer Kyrie to focus on getting back to 100% and having a dominant 2nd half to the season than worry about the ASG anyway, but let's be real here. If MJ was hurt for 50% of the first half of the season, he still would deserve the nod for a All Star roster spot.

It's a game for the fans, it wouldn't be a slap in the face to anybody. What if Lebron was hurt this first half of the season? Nobody would blink if he got in over Thomas. Good story for Isaiah, but at the end of the day he most likely won't be invited to the team USA try outs, let alone make the team.

It's hard to make the argument for Kyrie without looking biased, but I would be saying the same thing for any star player in the same situation.

That would make sense if Kyrie was Lebron, but he's not an all time great so he'd never get that kind of pass.

So KI is coming off of a broken knee cap and has played in like 15 games or something. He's been getting his legs under him, and playing much better over last 3 games. Lets see where he is at the end of the season.

As for the all star, it's a fan game, and sorry DGAF KI is a better player (by a lot) than thomas. He didn't make it in this season, DRGAF he's still a better player and will be a better player at the end of thew season regardless of stats/All Star votes.
