Even though I'm pro life, I understand that it's been 40+ years since the SCOTUS made abortion legal. I don't like it, but I accept it, nor do I condemn those that have had abortions. Roughly half of the country is pro life...1/2 is pro choice, but the harvesting of body parts should be offensive to just about anybody who has a shred of human dignity. At least try to understand that this is human remains and as such deserves respect. It is one thing to take the parts willfully donated by someone at the end of their life to save another life... but it is positively macabre to purposely end a potential human life and manipulate it to harvest tissue.

Abortion should not be an option and quite frankly should be a crime. There are many people who can't have kids, abortion is a slap in the face of those who cannot conceive. These people would love to have a child, unfortunately they fall into the minority. I think that the actual process of an abortion is sometimes necessary to save the mothers life, although this is "rare". But in those instances, I can't see wasting the mothers life and quite possibly the childs life too if there is a means to prevent it. The mother can live to have another child at a later time if at all possible.

That being said, using abortion as a means of birth control is an abomination to the body and mind. Also, as a woman I find it ridiculous for women to use the "my body/my choice" excuse when it also took another body to help you create that life in the first place.
Yes, there are instances also where the "child of rape" argument can occur. I don't have a strong argument for either stance in that case. We have all seen good arguments for and against abortion in those instances. Just throwing that out there because it might become a topic within this thread and some feel strongly about that one way or another.

As other means of preventing life, there are MANY methods other than abstinence. As already mentioned there are condoms, the birth control pill and IUD's. But there are also gels, films, sponges, etc. All of those alternatives are rather cheap to buy and accessible in some grocery stores, Walmarts, drug stores, and can be bought by either sex and in most instances can be used in combinations.

We've also had the Planned Parenthood discussion before where it was shown how federal tax monies was "backdoored"/channeled into the organization. I'm not sure if this loophole was closed, but if it hasn't, then it needs to happen immediately.

Again, I'm just stating my opinion as a woman. I don't think that I'm any sort of wingnut, or an overzealous religious nutcase. But on the other hand, pregnancies don't just spontaneously happen without another person and I don't like pretending that it does just for the sake of convenience. I would venture to guess that 95%+ of pregnancies are the result of mutual enjoyment and thus, the partner should also have equal value to their input. At the very least, their input should be seriously considered and I wish more men would stand up and not take the path of least resistance.

I actually could go on and on with my thoughts, but I'm running out of time and need to get ready to start my day.

There are approximately 500,000 kids in the foster care system waiting for adoption. I wonder what that number would be if abortion was illegal? I wonder how many of those kids will end up on some kind of government assistance because they aren't really wanted?

The fact that PP freely admits in this video that they alter the procedure in order to extract an intact fetus is a problem for them.
