the confederate flag has a history of our nation stamped on it, that of a great struggle of brother fighting bothers, the blood of all American bLack and white, rich and poor, free and slaves fought to keep our nation as one and the freedom of all protected. When I see the confederate flag I see history of the right winning and the sprite and pride of the south that shaped our country into a great nation and the southern hospitity of not slave owners but of fun loving, competitive, salt of the earth breed of American. Take this flag to Chicago high school student and the 49% non graduating students that where the real hate and racism beings.

Not my line of thinking. Both lone wolf killings both representing their own individual hatred of race, religion, country, politics etc....

At the end of the day their will never be a policy, law, war, gun or idea that will stop murder short of the extinction of the human species.

To some people that may be the case. Realistically both are instances where an individuals hate has reached a level that has driven them to want to take lives. Terrorism is terrorism.

A sailor has lost his life may he rest in peace. It is time to arm our service men so they have a fighting chance . At the very least a few of them should have a weapon. They are more than qualified. Maybe the presidential grounds should be a gun free zone so he isn't in any kind of danger. The Islamic scum would not stand a chance on an equal playing field against our nations finest and they know it.

Wild, violent Muslims have been around for centuries and will be for centuries more. A free society has cracks in its security, so unfortunately incidents such as this will happen. It's a bigger thing than being Obama's fault, Bush's fault,etc. It's a philosophy of hate and death-loving that has been a scourge of humanity for centuries. There is nothing beautiful or peaceful about Islam. It is a religion and philosophy of hate.
