there is quite a range between coach and a $20,000 flight on a private jet. Could have provided more aid to a recovering vet.

"Former President George W. Bush charged $100,000 to speak at a charity fundraiser for U.S. military veterans severely wounded in Iraq and Afghanistan, and former First Lady Laura Bush collected $50,000 to appear a year earlier, officials of the Texas-based Helping a Hero charity confirmed to ABC News.:
What suckers...they could have had Chelsea Clinton and her vast foreign policy experience for $65K....SMH.

Why is someone flying a private jet worthy of discussion? News flash isadore: some people have more money than other people. Get over it.

Rich people fly private jets to get places. Welcome to reality.

What's next? Mark Cuban should stop flying his private jet to Mavs road games because that money spent on fuel could be better spent on African children's poor living standards?

Bush charged $100K...the group that paid for him was ecstatic...they made $2.5 million!

But for the whole picture, you also have to look what he gives away to charity not just what he collects.

...by the way, the article also compares Obama and Biden!

I find this thread and what it is about laughable and pathetic. We all know that celebrities can command large sums for speaking fees. What is the mindset of a person who criticizes another for only giving back half of his usual speaking fee? If his usual speaking fee is $175,000, and he only takes $100,000, it is the equivalent of a $75,000 donation to the charity.
it was $20 thousand dollars that could have been used to help severely wounded veterans.
Oh, hell...why stop at $20 K...the truly pathetic liberal that knows how to spend everybody's money but his own would go for it all!

He was the Commander in Chief of those service people. He ordered them into danger where they suffered their horrendous wounds. And now he charges their charity $100 thousand dollars to speak for them and another $20 thousand for his flight. That money could have helped these people. As the man who put them in danger he owned it to them.

Obama is free to donate his entire net worth to help veterans. Why won't he help them?

$120,000 that could have helped the severely wounded, he probably used it for art supplies.

They made over $ 2 million and he personally donated $75,000. That's the bottom line.

So why did this charity not tell George to take his fee and go pound sand?

he donated nothing. He took $120,000 dollars away from men and women who followed his commands and were horrendously wounded for it.

Former Marine Eddie Wright served on the charity’s board and criticized the president’s fee to “speak on behalf of men and women he ordered into harm’s way.”
“You sent me to war,” Wright told ABC News. “I was doing what you told me to do, gladly for you and our country and I have no regrets. But it’s kind of a slap in the face.”
The former Marine lost both hands in a rocket attack in Fallujah, Iraq in 2004.

Perhaps he should have chosen another career if he was going to be a bitch about it. What did he expect? To sit on base eating bons bons for 6 years?

Maybe OBama should give him some of his money.

When you can no long defend, support or deflect the fraud, corruption, incompetence of your own community organizer, the party and those who will represent you as a candidate... Go back to plan B... Distract from the real and reality of the present ....

This is what he sacrificed for our country, but it was too much to ask for Bush to fly coach.

Bush negotiates his financial reward taken from the money for the men and women he sent to receive these terrible wounds.
