I really don't think Wiggins is trying in Minnesota. There's just no way you can go from being an elite defender at college to an awful defender in the pros a year later. He's probably pissed he got traded from a top team to the lowly wolves.
Despite what the stats say, I'm still taking him over Love on THIS cavs team. Easily.

What more do you want from him, 20/20 every game against good teams? He's done that before, when he was the focal point of an offense, have him get more touches, and I'm positive his numbers increase.
And please stop with the defense, the advanced metrics prove that as being false.

If thats true about Wiggins, it says more about him than anything on the court could ever show. It shows me, he doesn't have what it takes to be anything more than Average.

Players don't try on bad teams in every sport every year. This isn't the first time that's ever happened. Just because the stats can show something doesn't mean it couldn't be different in a different setting (i.e. Being on a good team).

Wiggins isn't happening. I'm being patient with Lue using Love better.
You keep alluding to Love being trash against the better teams....seems like Kyrie is in that boat to me.
And for the first season in I don't know how long (7-8 years), Lebron doesn't look like the best player in the game.

can we quit talking about Wiggins. Without the Wiggins trade, the cavs don't have mozgov, shump, and JR trades last year. So we should probably just stop talking about that.

I am firmly in the camp that trading Wiggins for Love was a good decision. Having seen the last year and a half play out for both of them, I still think the Cavs are a better team than they would have been if he was here.

The reality is Kevin Love is the second highest paid player on the team and he's not even a top 5 option on the team.
Anyone who thinks Love is a good player anywhere near the value of his max deal is delusional. I think the Cavs trade him and hopefully the taker of Love is stupid enough to give up an actual top player in return. He will be traded if the Cavs don't start playing better; everyone knows he's the problem, not the coach.

Love has to be better, against the good teams. Reality is, it's very unlikely he is going anywhere and they just need to use him better. So we might as well hop along for the ride.
