I've said it before and I'll say it again...let's put an end to all the accusations and settle this on the moss. OC Challenge sometime this summer in Ohio. Someplace mid - state like Deer Ridge near Mansfield. No handicaps but age appropriate tees - under 40 / tips, 40 -55 / member whites, 55+ / seniors. Put up or shut up.

Trying to explain to Wayne (someone who never choked a day in his life) how he couldn't get up and down from 12 feet had to be the worst part of the evening for DJ.

When your soon to be father in law is nicknamed "the great one" it has to make coming up a failure that much worse with him standing there watching.

Granted it is hard to call anyone that gets to nail Paulina on a regular basis a failure, but it had to have been a miserable evening for DJ last night.

I didn't play golf in college....golf and baseball were the same season....but different seasons in high school.

I'd obviously go for the win but also he sucked on short putts all day...I still think he has to use his prior knowledge of him sucking on 4-6 foot putts all day and give the winning putt a run but make sure also not to give myself another one of those damn putts.

I've been to Mansfield once. You couldn't pay me to go back. I wouldn't go back even to see gramps (tiernan) hitting from the Red's, which is saying something because that would just be wonderful.

I don't think Dustin could have stopped that putt closer than 4 feet unless he made it. Ignoring classy's dumbass post on the matter, that putt was too fast of a downhill putt to stop closer than it did. There's a reason Day's putt didn't stop closer either.

Apparently that means your neck of the woods is also Central Ohio.

Lol, volunteering to at from Reds and then saying he would brag about a win. That's classic.

I've never met a man who would be caught playing from the reds. Which includeds multiple 80+ golfers.

This conversation is hilarious. The fact that we have guys' whose most pressure putt ever is to win a $5 Nassau talking about how they would never 3 putt in that situation is mind blowing. You can't comprehend the pressure. Not making an excuse for the guy but come on.

"I wouldn't run that putt 4 feet by..."
"Nestle it up there and get into the playoff."

You have a slick downhill putt on greens faster than anything you have played on to win the US Open. You are so jacked. You are putting for the win. Impossible to leave that putt short.

Overall, you have found the difference between you and Dustin Johnson. Dustin Johnson stood over that putt and said, "I'm going to make this to win the US Open." He didn't but that was his thought. You are thinking...."Just lag it and play 18 more tomorrow."

The delusion on this thread is comical.

I don't think I'm being delusional at all and never said I wouldn't 3 putt. Just that I would like to know if he had any thought process of not going beyond gimme range. Like any good putter he had a slight follow through on his tap of a putt....I believe he could've hit it easier and potentionally still made it...likely not a comfort thing for a guy that blasted a pressure drive over 350 and drilled a wonderful 250 yard iron shot.

I'll move on at whatever cost.

Hitting softer ensures no make. It is a defeatist thought process. This putt wasn't a softer and the break stays the same, it was softer and the break will take the ball way off course. The only shot he had was to do what he did, and read it correct. He didn't, so he missed. Hitting it softer means the ball has no shot of getting there, unless you at it more up the hill for more break, but that makes it exponentially harder to make initially and the risk is that the downhill portion is moving even quicker.

Can't speak for anyone else here but the only point I've made in relation to the above quoted part is that I don't think it was possible for the ball to stop in gimme range. It was either in or a minimum 4 feet past. Just my opinion though.

I agree. Sometimes it's simply not possible to stop it.

I mean, did we all not see the hole all week long? Guys approaches were rolling up to the back edge and most going off the front of the green. Physics tells us that's starting from a dead stop...

You dumbfucks don't know the difference between Senior tees and Reds? S&L I'll tee with you from anywhere and beat your ass by 10. Now Zwick sounds like a single digit golfer and I have to admit I've lost yards over the years so it's competitive compensation to give me the forward tees. I'd love to play S&L, Like_that, COA and Lowrey. I'll play from wherever ladies and give you five a side.

Durkie what golf or athletic ability could you possibly have? I'd beat you like a rented mule.
