For the love of God someone get the guy some Perkins waitresses to nail. He has played like crap since he got off that horse.Spock;1735992 wrote:poor tigger.
He's starting to look like the musician who stops doing drugs and can't come up with anything creative anymore. He hasn't played at nearly the same level since he cleaned himself up and stopped being a manwhore.

Hoping he withdraws so that Fox isn't compelled to show every shot he takes tomorrow despite being 20 shots back.

i hope he plays so we can see how bad he plays. this tourney now puts him far behind the best that ever played. He is destroying his own legacy

3rd time in like 6 tournaments this year he has shot 80 or above.
I have always been of the mind he would find himself and right the ship at some point, but I am starting to really think he might be going the route of David Duval at this point.
He'll make a ton of excuses about swing changes and try and tell everyone how close he is, but to keep shooting 80 like this is uncharted territory and his other swing changes never went this poorly before at least some results started surfacing.

Love links courses, don't know why. I'd love playing there on my way to shooting a 106.

Woods is done. I don't see him ever winning another major. He was good for the game, when he was good, but now he needs to just go away.

Unless your USGA index is sub 5....you would be lucky to shoot 106. From the tees they are playing...I honestly think your typical bogey golfer that is between 85-90 would have a hard time breaking 130. Anytime you miss a fairway you need to hit a provisional.Terry_Tate;1736006 wrote:Love links courses, don't know why. I'd love playing there on my way to shooting a 106.

"Go away" as in "stay away from the spotlight." At this point in his career, he's a shitty golfer who gets WAY too much media attention when there are much better/younger guys the media could be focusing their attention on.lhslep134;1736067 wrote:Wtf does this even mean? Yeah, I know. Wishful thinking on my part. Don't get me wrong, when he's "on", it's awesome for golf but he'll never be "on" again.ZWICK 4 PREZ;1736072 wrote:well.. he is Tiger Woods so he's going to get media attention til he retires.

How is someone who doesn't invite the spotlight on him supposed to stay away from it? He doesn't sit there and tell the TV producers to focus on him.BR1986FB;1736070 wrote:"Go away" as in "stay away from the spotlight." Yeah, he should really stop doing Nike commercials and end his $20+ million dollar/yr contract with them. Maybe then he'll appease you.
You're ridiculous.

I'd guess that with how hyper-competitive he's always seemed to be, he probably would rather not be in the spotlight with everyone seeing every shitty shot he makes and then having to give an interview explaining why he shot 56 over par through 6 holes (or whatever), but in today's "LET'S ALL BE LIKE ESPN" style of national sports media, the only thing that matters is that he is Tiger and, therefore, whether he or anyone else wants it, he will have everything he does get magnified.BR1986FB;1736070 wrote:"Go away" as in "stay away from the spotlight." Color me shocked. I make a comment about how I wish he'd just "go away" and you, of all people, have to escalate it. :rolleyes:lhslep134;1736084 wrote:How is someone who doesn't invite the spotlight on him supposed to stay away from it? You made a ridiculous comment. Of course I'm going to call you out on it. You didn't say "I wish he'd go away" you said "he needs to go away" as if he has some sort of control over that.
Use your words more wisely.

And that's my point. You used to be a mega-cool dude but now that you've received your law degree you feel the need to debate EVERYONE or pick apart everyone's posts, hence the "color me shocked."lhslep134;1736101 wrote:You made a ridiculous comment. Welcome to dealing with lawyers. We were taught, and we practice, that every word matters. I couldn't stop close reading even if I tried.BR1986FB;1736103 wrote:And that's my point. It's a gift and a (mostly) curse, because now I'm way more of a dick about sentence composition than I ever thought I'd be.
